A new Korean drama shows the lives of three women at very different stages. No Next Life follows three 41-year-old friends who feel tired from the pressures of work and being parents. New pictures from the show highlight the big differences between their hopeful younger years and their more complicated lives today.
The drama stars Kim Hee Sun, Han Hye Jin, and Jin Seo Yeon as longtime friends. It is a comedy about the confusion and worries of entering your forties. The story follows each woman as she takes on new problems and challenges.
Meet the Three Friends
The three main characters are all facing unique struggles in their personal and professional lives.
Kim Hee Sun plays Jo Na Jung. She was once a top home shopping host with a very high salary but is now a stay-at-home mom raising two sons.
Han Hye Jin is Gu Joo Young, a planning director at a top art center. She seems to have a perfect life but is secretly struggling to have a baby with her asexual husband.
Jin Seo Yeon takes on the role of Lee Il Li, a single magazine editor. She has a successful career but still holds onto her romantic dreams of getting married.

Two Timelines Show Change
The newly released photos from the drama tell a powerful story by comparing the past and present. The images show the same three friends in two different years.
In the scenes from 2011, the women are in their twenties. They are full of youth and energy, gathering at a rooftop spot they call “Il Li’s Bar.” They smile brightly and raise their glasses, toasting to the future ahead of them.
The scenes from 2025 paint a different picture. Now in their forties, the friends share drinks in a cozy living room filled with children’s toys. Their quiet meeting is more thoughtful, as they talk about the sweet and bitter sides of their real lives.
This side-by-side look at their lives shows the distance between their young dreams and their adult realities.
Behind the Scenes of the Drama
No Next Life is written by Shin Yi-won, who also wrote “Green Mothers’ Club.” The director is Kim Jeong-min, known for shows like “Royal Secret Agent.” The production team believes the show will connect with a wide audience.
The production team shared that the story of these three friends, who confront the growing pains of adulthood, will deeply resonate with women in their 20s through 50s and provide both comfort and inspiration.
The main cast was confirmed in June 2025. The drama will be available for global audiences to stream on Netflix.
When to Watch
No Next Life will premiere on November 10, 2025, on TV Chosun. It will air every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. KST.
