Netflix is not ready to let go of its most talked-about dating experiment. The streaming service has officially given a green light to Age of Attraction Season 2, just days after the first season wrapped up. The show, which asks whether love can survive when partners come from different generations, will return with its hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy.
The announcement came on March 31, 2026, less than 24 hours before the season one reunion special was set to air on the hosts’ podcast. The timing has kept the show in the spotlight as viewers process the dramatic finale where some couples walked away engaged while others chose to end their relationships.
Why Netflix Decided to Bring Back the Show So Quickly
The renewal decision came after strong viewership numbers. The first season launched on March 11, 2026, and remained in Netflix’s English TV Top 10 throughout its run. The show also reached the Top 10 list in 26 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. It opened with 3.8 million views in its first week and added another 3.2 million in the second week.
Executive producers Jennifer O’Connell and Rebecca Quinn, who co-founded Velvet Hammer Media, shared their thoughts on why the show connected with audiences.
“We love concepts that are impossible to look away from, and Age of Attraction nailed that from day one. It’s messy, it’s real, and that’s what makes it fun to watch. Huge thanks to Netflix for embracing this dating experiment with us. The response has been incredible, and we’re excited to push it even further in Season 2.”
The show marks the first new English-language reality series to receive a second season in nearly a year, since Million Dollar Secret got renewed in May 2025.
What Viewers Can Expect From Season 2
The second season will keep the same format that made the first season stand out. Singles aged 22 to 60 will come together at a retreat where they are not allowed to share their ages. The goal is to see if emotional connection can happen without the baggage that often comes with knowing someone’s age from the start.
Once a couple decides to move forward, they enter the “Promise Room” where they exchange rings and finally reveal their ages. After that, they move in together to test their relationship in real-world situations. The season ends with a Commitment Ceremony where each couple decides whether to stay together or break up.
Hosts Nick Viall, 45, and his wife Natalie Joy, 27, will return for Season 2. Their own 18-year age gap gives them direct experience with what the contestants go through. During the first season, Joy described the show as a “safe space” for people looking for connection without judgment about age differences.
Where the Show Films and Production Details
Season 1 was filmed in Whistler and Vancouver, British Columbia, with the main retreat taking place at the Brew Creek Centre. The producers chose Canada partly to get away from the tropical island settings that have become common in dating shows. They wanted a high-end resort atmosphere where contestants could enjoy nature and outdoor activities.
The production company behind the show is Velvet Hammer Media, which O’Connell and Quinn lead. The series is one of the few dating shows created entirely by women. Other executive producers include Sam Dean and David Friedman.
What Happened With the Season 1 Couples
The first season ended with several couples making major decisions about their futures. Logan Goodrid, 29, proposed to Vanessa Drozda, 49, during the finale. He asked her to return a promise ring before offering her an engagement ring instead. Vanessa later said she never expected to find the love of her life on the show.
Andrew Wheeler, 38, and Libby Vodicka left the show together after Andrew expressed concerns about whether his age would hold her back from enjoying her twenties. They decided to give their relationship a try despite the age gap.
Not every couple worked out. Jorge Sanchez, 60, and Vanelle Fenmou, 27, split during the season. Vanelle made it clear that their lifestyles did not match, adding that she did not think the issues came from his age.
The Season 1 Reunion Special
The reunion for the first season will air as a special episode of The Viall Files podcast on April 1, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET. It will not stream on Netflix. The reunion will catch up with most of the main couples to see where they stand now. The only cast member not participating is Pfeiffer Hill, 23, who left the show committed to Derrick Fleming. Fleming will appear alone to share updates on their relationship.
Streaming Availability and How to Watch
All eight episodes of Age of Attraction Season 1 are available now exclusively on Netflix. The show is accessible to subscribers in all regions where Netflix operates. Viewers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, India, and other countries can stream the full season.
Netflix has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 2. Production details and casting information will likely come in the following months. For now, fans can watch the first season and tune into the reunion special on The Viall Files to get updates on their favorite couples.
