With time running out for Sam and Jay, one of the ghosts stepped up to help. Pete, who has the ability to wander away from the property, traveled to Tad’s house. His goal was to talk to the ghosts living there and find out the truth about the countertop dispute.
Pete’s plan worked. A ghost in Tad’s house confirmed that Mark had indeed installed the wrong countertops. However, it was not done on purpose. Mark had been too busy playing games on his phone when Tad gave him the countertop request, leading to an honest mistake. Pete returned to Woodstone with this information, giving Sam and Jay the proof they needed.
The Ghost Representative Election Takes a Turn
While the living dealt with their money problems, the ghosts had their own drama. Election Day for Ghost Representative finally arrived. Isaac was very sure he would win. He had the support of the basement ghosts, and his opponent Flower could barely stay awake during her closing speech. Isaac also convinced Sam to install a popcorn machine in the lobby so the ghosts could smell the popcorn. This move was very popular with the voters.
But the election took a sudden turn when Patience and the bunker ghosts came out to vote. They all voted for Flower, creating a tie. The basement ghosts then brought up Bruce from the dirt, hoping he would vote for Isaac. Instead, Bruce voted for Flower because she had helped him become a better person. Flower won the election and became the new Ghost Representative.
Sam and Jay Make a Big Decision to Tell Mark the Truth
Back with the living, Sam and Jay were struggling to get Mark to remember his mistake. Mark felt they did not trust him and decided to leave. At that moment, Sam and Jay made a very big choice. They told Mark the truth about the ghosts living in the mansion.
Mark did not believe them at first. To him, the idea sounded crazy. But the ghosts wanted to prove they were real. Flower made a deal with Sam. The ghosts would help convince Mark if Sam agreed to set up the popcorn machine. Once Mark saw the ghosts for himself, he finally believed. He apologized to Tad, and Tad agreed to move forward with the Woodstone deal.
What Happened to Isaac and Trevor in Episode 17
The episode also touched on other character relationships. Isaac did not react badly to losing the election. Instead of being angry at Flower for winning, he accepted the result and offered to help her. Flower then made him the Vice Ghost Representative. This was an important moment for Isaac, who learned to handle losing with grace.
Trevor and Patience did not have much screen time together in this episode. Earlier in the season, the show seemed to be building a connection between them. However, Trevor acted as if nothing had happened between them. Instead, viewers saw a look between Hetty and Trevor when she made fun of his taste.
