What Happens in Episode 2 “White Russian”
Jacob Latimore (Emmett) faces serious problems as a parent in this episode. The situation gets so bad that he starts questioning whether he is fit to be a father at all. Birgundi Baker (Kiesha) tries to help him adjust, but the issues run deeper than anyone expected.
Michael V. Epps (Jake) continues dealing with his brother Reg, who returned from the dead last season. Reg took over Jake’s house and turned it into a non-stop party spot with zero respect for any rules. At the end of episode 1, Reg pulled a gun on Jake and forced him into a life-or-death standoff. Episode 2 shows how Jake handles this impossible situation.
Hannaha Hall (Tiff) sinks deeper into the 63rd Street mob under Cortez Smith (Nuck)’s control. Nuck runs the criminal operation and has his eyes on Tiff, which puts her in more danger with every passing episode. Fan theories online suggest Tiff might try to take Nuck out herself, while others predict she won’t make it out alive.
Luke James (Trig) and Jason Weaver (Shaad) remain in serious legal trouble. Miriam A. Hyman (Patience) fights to find evidence that could clear their names and get them out of prison. The clock is ticking, and the evidence is not easy to find.

The season premiere titled “The Coldest Winter Ever” showed The Chi characters dealing with a brutal Chicago winter where every decision could be their last. Victor, Shaad, Emmett, Kiesha, and Darnell all faced the consequences of things they did years ago. Reg’s return shook Jake’s world completely, and the younger generation including Bakari started causing new kinds of trouble for everyone.
