BLACKPINK‘s Lisa, Brazilian superstar Anitta, and Nigerian hitmaker Rema joined forces on June 12, 2026, to deliver the first-ever live performance of their FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem ‘Goals’ at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The performance was part of the United States’ opening ceremony for the biggest World Cup in history, which is being co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada. The trio took the stage just before the U.S. Men’s National Team kicked off their campaign against Paraguay.
A Spectacular Collaborative Debut
The performance of ‘Goals’ was a landmark moment for the tournament’s soundtrack. Released earlier this year as part of the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, the track uniquely blends Latin pop, K-pop, and Afrobeats into a high-energy, rhythmic celebration of global football.
Lisa opened the show, commanding the stage in a white corset paired with high-waisted shorts and matching boots. She was backed by dancers in sporty costumes, moving across a stage decorated with iconic Los Angeles imagery like surfboards, palm trees, and a replica of the Santa Monica Ferris wheel. Anitta and Rema soon joined her, turning up the energy in the 70,000-seat stadium.
According to FIFA, the collaboration is meant to reflect the “borderless energy and global scale” of the 2026 tournament. This performance officially made Lisa the first female K-pop idol to perform at a World Cup opening ceremony.
A Star-Studded Night in Los Angeles
The ceremony in Los Angeles featured a stacked lineup of international talent. Tyla and Future kicked off the event, while pop icon Katy Perry served as the emotional closing act, debuting her ballad ‘Wonder’ live for the first time.
The star power was not limited to the stage. The stands were packed with A-list celebrities, including Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Halle Berry, and Paris Hilton, all present to witness the sporting spectacle.

Looking Ahead
Following the ceremony, the focus shifted to the pitch. The U.S. Men’s National Team secured a dominant 4-1 victory over Paraguay in their Group B opener. Lisa and her collaborators are set to continue promoting ‘Goals’ as the tournament progresses over the next month.
