Kang Tae-oh is making a special appearance in the upcoming Korean film The Intern, playing the husband of Han So-hee‘s character. The film, a Korean remake of the 2015 Hollywood hit, is set to premiere on September 16, 2026. A Surprise Role for Kang Tae-oh
Warner Bros. Korea confirmed on September 14, 2026, that Kang Tae-oh will appear as Min Wook, the husband of Sun Woo (played by Han So-hee), the workaholic CEO of the fashion company WOO22. Min Wook is an author who has built his own career while supporting his busy wife. He is described as a warm and understanding partner who quietly supports Sun Woo’s demanding job, but also feels hurt by her lack of attention.
The role is a special appearance, but director Kim Do-young praised Kang Tae-oh’s impact on set. “He is an incredibly kind actor who brings positive energy to everyone on set. Even with a brief appearance, he makes a strong impression,” Kim said.

The Intern is a Korean remake of the 2015 Hollywood film of the same name, which starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The Korean version follows Gi Ho (played by Choi Min-sik), a senior intern with 37 years of work experience, who joins WOO22, a fashion company led by CEO Sun Woo (Han So-hee). The story explores office life that transcends generations and job titles.
