In “Eat the Rich,” Colter Shaw is in Boston searching for clues about a man named David Pearson, a figure connected to his father’s history . While there, he meets Dale Buchanan, a man whose world has been shattered. Dale’s daughter, Noelle, vanished two days earlier while working her job as a courier .
The police found a small amount of drugs in Noelle’s apartment and suggested she simply left on her own. Dale refuses to believe this and hires Colter to find her . Colter’s investigation into Noelle’s last known movements reveals that her final deliveries included stops at properties linked to the wealthy Benning family . He also discovers that a waiter was killed near the Benning estate, leading him to suspect Noelle may have witnessed something dangerous .
As Colter digs deeper, he uncovers how the Bennings use their money and influence to control people and narratives in Boston . The family employs a fixer whose job is to eliminate any threats to their image. When Colter gets too close to the truth, someone tampers with the brakes on his vehicle, leading to a serious attempt on his life by a contract killer .
