The large ensemble cast from the premiere is set to return for the second hour of the shift. The main cast includes award-winning lead Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch and Katherine LaNasa as Nurse Dana Evans.

What Happened In The Pitt Season 2 Premiere?
Season 2 picked up ten months after the events of the first season’s Labor Day shift. The story now takes place on July 4th, one of the busiest days of the year for emergency rooms.
The premiere, “7:00 A.M.,” established several key storylines. It was Dr. Robby’s last day before a three-month motorcycle trip, and he spent it clashing with his precise, by-the-book replacement, Dr. Al-Hashimi. It was also the first day back for Dr. Frank Langdon, who was fired in Season 1 for stealing prescription drugs, creating immediate tension with his former mentor, Robby.
โLangdon really wants to be validated by Robby again, and Robbie really doesnโt want to have anything to do with Langdon,โ Noah Wyle explained about the dynamic. โSome of his hesitancy to be around him is like Superman being around kryptonite.โ
A central mystery was introduced when an abandoned newborn baby was discovered in a hospital bathroom. The medical team worked to find the mother and care for the infant, with the premiere ending on an ominous note as Dr. Al-Hashimi was seen staring intently at the baby in its incubator. The condition of the baby is expected to be a focus of the upcoming episode.
