The first trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 has arrived, revealing that attorney Mickey Haller is fighting the most personal case of his life: his own. Released by Netflix, the trailer sets the stage for a tense season where the charismatic lawyer is framed for murder and must prove his innocence with the help of his closest allies. The Case Against Mickey Haller
The story picks up directly from the jaw-dropping finale of Season 3, where the body of Mickey’s former client, a conman named Sam Scales, was discovered in the trunk of Mickey’s iconic Lincoln car. Framed for a murder he did not commit, Mickey is now the defendant. He is charged with the crime and must use every legal trick he knows to defend himself.
For the first time, the lawyer known for his cool confidence is experiencing the justice system from the other side. Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez stated this season is their “most personal and emotional season yet” because “now Mickey’s the client”. The trailer shows Mickey behind bars, confronting the harsh reality of the advice he has given clients for years.
“Every murder case is like a tree, and it’s the prosecutor’s job to feed and water that tree,” Mickey says in the trailer. “I’m going to cut that tree down to the ground.”
A New Prosecutor and Returning Allies
Mickey faces a formidable new opponent in prosecutor Dana Berg, played by Constance Zimmer. Known by the intimidating nickname “Death Row Dana,” Berg is a relentless and ruthless attorney who bends the rules to secure convictions. She is a former colleague of Mickey’s first ex-wife, Maggie McPherson, and both Maggie and Mickey have a negative history with her.
To survive this fight, Mickey must rely on his entire team. His ex-wife and fierce attorney, Maggie McPherson, returns for every episode this season. After a reduced role in Season 3, Neve Campbell is back full-time as Maggie, who must navigate the conflict of helping someone on “the other side of the aisle” when that person is the father of her child.
His second ex-wife, the newly minted lawyer Lorna Crane, also steps up. Played by Becki Newton, Lorna is tasked with a double burden: helping with Mickey’s defense and keeping the lights on at their law firm, Haller and Associates, while he fights for his freedom.
Other returning fan favorites include office manager Izzy Letts, private investigator Cisco, and Mickey’s mentor David “Legal” Siegel, all working to clear his name.

Season 4 features significant casting news. Yaya DaCosta, who played prosecutor Andrea “Andy” Freeman and Mickey’s love interest in Season 3, will not return. This exit closes the door on their relationship and aligns the show closer with the source material, Michael Connelly’s novel The Law of Innocence, which the new season adapts.
Alongside Constance Zimmer, several new actors join the drama. Cobie Smulders joins in an undisclosed role. Sasha Alexander will appear as FBI Agent Dawn Ruth, who interrupts Mickey’s dinner to pressure him to drop his investigation.
The season also adds Kyle Richards as a Beverly Hills divorce client, Scott Lawrence as a tough judge, and Jason O’Mara as Jack Gilroy, an orthopedic surgeon who is Maggie’s new boyfriend. World-renowned chef Nancy Silverton will make a cameo as herself.

The official plot summary states that Mickey and his team must “unravel Sam’s final scam,” forcing them into conflicts with the DA’s office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey’s past.
Despite the gravity of being charged with murder, Mickey tries to maintain his signature optimism. In the trailer, he casually asks Lorna and Cisco, “I’m being framed for murder, how much worse could it get?”. The showrunners note that this brave front will eventually crack as the full weight of his situation sets in.
The ten-episode season was developed for television by David E. Kelley and is produced by A+E Studios. All episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 will be released on Netflix on February 5, 2026.
