Singer and actor Kim Jaejoong has addressed a “fake dating scandal” fabricated by a sasaeng fan, which recently gained attention across online communities. The bizarre incident, involving claims supported by photoshopped “evidence,” prompted Kim Jaejoong to respond directly with humor and clarity.
The Fabricated Scandal
The sasaeng, referred to as ‘A,’ claimed to be Kim Jaejoong’s girlfriend and shared a series of photos as supposed evidence of their relationship. These photos included a man wearing the same hoodie Kim Jaejoong had been seen in at the airport and bearing a similar hairstyle. However, accusations of fabrication soon surfaced, with many pointing out that the man in the photos appeared to be a body double.
Acknowledging the situation, Kim Jaejoong shared his perspective and humorously pointed out the flaws in the fabricated story.
Kim Jaejoong’s Comments on the Scandal
Kim Jaejoong addressed the issue directly, saying:
“You should have photoshopped the man’s face as well, Why did you use someone with so little hair and volume.”
He also commented on the sasaeng’s attempt to photoshop his well-known “snake table” into the photos:
“Kekeke apparently I’m in some dating scandal.
Kekeke I saw the photos. Did people really think that was me?
I don’t even have time to sleep these days, so how can I have time for a relationship?
But wait, how did they photoshop my snake table in like that? It looks really natural.
Unfortunately, I don’t really like cake. If you had gone with a rainbow rice cake cake, it would have been more convincing.
You must not know me very well still!”
He humorously noted how the sasaeng got some details right:
“But when I looked into it in detail, they got a lot of stuff right, like the lighting, the date that I got back to Korea, the food that I like, and the tattoo on my finger? Those were staged perfectly.”
However, Kim pointed out the most critical errors in the staged photos:
“The scam couple made one more fatal mistake.
I don’t like going to cute cafes lol.
I like dated places or local eateries.
If the person who was supposed to be me was eating gukbap (rice mixed in hot soup) instead of sipping coffee at a cafe, you might have actually fooled me.”
Netizens React to Kim Jaejoong’s Humor and Call for Legal Action
Kim Jaejoong’s lighthearted response amused many fans, with netizens praising his ability to defuse what could have been a very serious situation. However, others expressed concerns for his safety and privacy, urging him to take strong legal measures against the sasaeng fan responsible for the fabrication.
