Episode 6 Recap: “I Won’t Let You Die”

Episode 6, titled “I Won’t Let You Die,” aired on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The episode continued the intense drama as Reirin (now in Keigetsu’s body) uncovered more secrets about the court’s conspiracy.

Reirin found it suspicious that Kin Seika claimed there was no one named Gayou in the Kin clan. Just as she was about to ask for more details, the Kou clan court lady Tousetsu arrived with alarming news – “Reirin’s” life was in danger. Reirin wanted to save “Reirin’s” life, but Prince Gyoumei refused her offer because he did not trust her.

However, the empress Kou Kenshuu gave Reirin a chance. She said nursing would be allowed if Reirin could show her sincerity by drawing the Bow of Warding all night long. This test put Reirin in a difficult position as she tried to prove herself while maintaining her cover.

The episode also showed Keigetsu (in Reirin’s body) continuing to struggle with her illness. She had been bedridden with a fever for five days straight. In a moment of desperation, Keigetsu spoke telepathically with Reirin again, asking for help. Reirin guided her on how to adjust her breathing and directed her to the proper medicine.

During their conversation, Reirin explained that she viewed the comet as a “miracle comet” because she had wished to become healthy. This emotional moment showed the growing connection between the two women despite their complicated situation.

Meanwhile, Leelee, Keigetsu’s loyal attendant, continued to struggle with her loyalty. She had been deprived of food as punishment for serving “Keigetsu“. Leelee made a deal with the Kin clan’s court lady Gayou to torture and report on her master in exchange for food. But when Leelee returned to Reirin’s home, she found that Reirin had quickly created a farm and got fed.

Leelee began to suspect that “Keigetsu” was not the same person she knew because her attempts to torture her failed. When she returned to report to Gayou, Gayou ordered Leelee to assassinate “Keigetsu” or be accused of stealing her hairpin.

Later, Leelee attempted to attack Reirin but was stopped by Shin-u. Reirin made up a story to defend Leelee’s actions, and Shin-u left convinced that “Keigetsu” was not the same person he knew. Afterward, Reirin told Leelee that she would always have a place with her, and Leelee cried as she prepared to tell her the truth about Gayou.

The episode ended with Reirin deciding to take on Seika herself at the Ghost Festival hosted by the Kin clan. She planned to make extravagant garments for herself and her attendant.
