The British version of Saturday Night Live is ending its first season with big stars. Hannah Waddingham from Ted Lasso and Ncuti Gatwa from Doctor Who will host the last two shows. American fans can watch all episodes the day after they air in the UK on Peacock.
Aimee Lou Wood Kicks Off the Final Episodes This Weekend
Before the big finales, another fan-favorite actor takes the stage. Aimee Lou Wood, known for Sex Education and The White Lotus, hosts the episode airing May 2, 2026. She joins the cast live from London at 10 PM local time. British singer Meek will perform her hit song “Fabulous” during the show.
This episode is getting extra attention. Wood recently joked about a past issue with the American SNL in a promo video, showing she is ready for the show’s comedy style.
Hannah Waddingham Hosts the May 9 Episode
Hannah Waddingham leads the seventh episode on May 9, 2026. She won an Emmy for playing Rebecca Welton on Ted Lasso. She also stars in the action movie Ride or Die. The musical guest for her show is Myles Smith. He is a BRIT Award winner known for the hit song “Stargazing”.
Fans expect Waddingham to use her singing skills from Ted Lasso and her theater work. She has hosted awards shows before, so she is comfortable with live TV.

Ncuti Gatwa Closes the Season on May 16
Ncuti Gatwa, the current star of Doctor Who, hosts the final episode on May 16, 2026. He became famous for playing Eric Effiong on Sex Education and also appeared in the Barbie movie. Holly Humberstone, the indie-pop singer-songwriter, joins him as the musical guest.
Gatwa’s episode closes an eight-week run. The show originally planned for only six shows but was extended due to public interest.
Who Is in the SNL UK Cast?
The main cast stays the same for every episode. The team of comedians includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young.
Daran Jonno Johnson serves as the head writer. The show is executive produced by Lorne Michaels, the creator of the American version.
