Seo In Guk and Krystal Jung will star together in a new tvN fantasy drama. The show is called The Office Worker Who Sees Destiny (also translated as Office Worker Who Sees Fate). The announcement came on June 2, 2026.
The drama combines office life with supernatural elements. It is based on a popular web novel of the same name. Park Hye Jin, who wrote Café Minamdang, is writing the script. Kim Jae Hyun, who directed Dynamite Kiss, will direct the show.
The Unique Plot Combines Fortune Telling with Corporate Life
The Office Worker Who Sees Destiny tells the story of a man born to become a shaman. He has the special power to see other people’s fate. But he rejects his destiny. He wants to live a normal life as a regular office worker.
The main character Choi Young Hoon is played by Seo In Guk. Young Hoon was born with the fate of a shaman. He can read a person’s fortune by simply holding their hand. He can also read faces and use fortune telling methods without any prior information about the person.
After living away from the outside world for 25 years, Young Hoon decides to change his life. At age 33, he starts a new career. He joins a large company called Pilsan Trading as a new office worker. He tries hard to hide his special abilities. He just wants to fit in.
But things do not go as planned. Young Hoon gets caught in a web of corruption, greed, and power fights inside the company. His ability to see fate makes things more complicated. He finds himself in unexpected situations where his powers become both a gift and a problem.
Krystal Plays a Chaebol Heiress Fighting Her Own Fate
Krystal takes on the role of Im Yeon Hee. Yeon Hee was born into a rich chaebol family. But her life has been hard. Everyone around her seems like an enemy. When she was young, an incident forced her out of her family home.
She did not give up. Yeon Hee went to study abroad. She built strong skills and work experience on her own. She came back ready to fight. She joins the same company as Young Hoon.
Yeon Hee is sharp and has strong survival instincts. She is caught in a fierce fight for power and succession inside the company. When she learns about Young Hoon’s special ability, something changes. The two characters decide to work together. They want to shape their own fate instead of accepting the one given to them.
