What to Expect From Elle Season 1
Set in 1995, the series follows a teenage Elle Woods as she navigates the challenges of high school, including tricky friendships, first love, and family dynamics. Elle’s journey takes her from being a popular Los Angeles It Girl to an outcast in Seattle.
The official synopsis reads: “We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other.”
Reese Witherspoon, who executive produces the series through her company Hello Sunshine, shared her excitement: “Twenty-five years after the world met Elle Woods for the first time, it’s a dream come true to share the story of how she became the unstoppable force we all fell in love with. Discovering Lexi Minetree and watching her step into Elle’s fabulous shoes has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my career.”
