On August 30, actor Ji Seung Hyun made headlines once again after releasing a playful apology video through his agency, Big Whale Entertainment. The actor, known for his roles in popular K-Dramas, addressed viewers with a lighthearted apology, sparking widespread attention.
In the video, Ji Seung Hyun humorously apologized for a previous video in which he had expressed regret to actresses Jang Na Ra and Han Jae Yi. His character in the hit drama Good Partner had cheated on theirs, leading to an outcry from fans.
The actor said,
“In my previous apology, I sparked outrage for not apologizing to my daughter. I would like to take this time to offer a simple apology to my daughter Jae Hee,” said Ji Seung Hyun.
The actor’s earlier apology quickly went viral among K-Drama enthusiasts, leading to further engagement with his playful persona.
Ji Seung Hyun didn’t stop there. The actor then apologized to Lady Gil Chae who was his love interest in his previous K-Drama My Dearest as well as mentioning the fact that his current character is a stark difference to the heroic general that he played in his previous K-Drama, Korea-Khitan War.
“I would also like to apologize to Lady Gil Chae (My Dearest) for breaking her heart. Going back to Goryeo, I am aware of the serious allegations claiming that although I once saved our nation, I have now thrown it away. I feel all this is due to the fact that I tried my best to play my character faithfully. I am sorry,” Ji Seung Hyun added.
In his latest apology, the actor also referred to his character’s transformation, contrasting the heroic general he played in Korea-Khitan War with his current role in Good Partner.
While the apologies were delivered with humor, they resonated with fans who have been enjoying Ji Seung Hyun’s diverse roles in some of the most-watched K-Dramas in recent years. Currently, he continues to shine in Good Partner, earning praise for his performance.
