On September 20, actress Han Jae Yi issued a lighthearted apology to fans of the K-drama Good Partner for her character’s actions. In the series, Han portrays Choi Sa Ra, a villain who is seen as a homewrecker. The character’s ruthless and unpleasant personality caused a stir among viewers.

Han Jae Yi Shares Playful Apology

In a statement released by her agency, Han Jae Yi expressed gratitude toward fans who watched the show and playfully acknowledged the trouble her character, Choi Sa Ra, caused.

Han Jae Yi’s full statement:

“Hello. I would like to thank all of the fans who supported and watched Good Partner. When I was first given the role of Choi Sa Ra, I was really worried but thanks to the writers, the director, and many of you who watched, I was able to succeed in portraying her.

I had so much fun and learned a lot while acting alongside a wonderful staff and my respected sunbaenims [seniors]. I would like to apologize to those whose blood pressure rose because of Choi Sa Ra. I will meet you again as a totally new character, and I hope you will continue to support me, thank you.”

Not the First Apology From Good Partner Cast

This is not the first time an actor from Good Partner has apologized for their role. Previously, Ji Seung Hyun, who plays Han Jae Yi’s on-screen partner, also issued an apology for portraying a cheating character in the show. His character’s behavior also sparked reactions from fans.
