Minji from NewJeans has spoken out for the first time since the group announced their contract termination with ADOR.
NewJeans recently made headlines when they announced the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR on November 28th. The group, despite having five years left on their previous agreements, decided to part ways with ADOR but will continue with scheduled performances until further notice.
On December 22nd, Minji posted a heartfelt message on NewJeans’ new social media account, saying, “Thank you so much to the Bunnies who stayed strong and cheered for us until the end, even though today’s recording was long and the weather was cold.” She continued to express her appreciation, highlighting how special the performances with fans are to her.
However, Minji also shared a personal message hidden in a subtle part of the post, stating, “I’ll cry later when I can feel at ease,” which was quickly noticed by fans. This message came after NewJeans participated in the pre-recording for MBC’s ‘Gayo Daejejeon’, where some members, including Hanni, were seen emotional post-performance.
The group’s move to establish a new social media presence indicates their intent to navigate their career independently, keeping in touch with fans directly. This step marks a new chapter for NewJeans, as they continue to engage with their audience, known as ‘Bunnies,’ amidst the transition.
