A Glimpse at the Story and Cast

Dear X is based on a popular webtoon and tells the story of Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a top actress who appears kind and generous to the public. Behind this perfect image, however, she is a complex character who manipulates others to climb the ladder of success, driven by a traumatic past involving domestic abuse.

The main cast includes:

  • Kim Yoo-jung as Baek Ah-jin
  • Kim Young-dae as Yoon Jun-seo, Ah-jin’s devoted childhood friend
  • Kim Do-hoon as Kim Jae-oh, a man from Ah-jin’s past who is fiercely protective of her
  • Lee Yul-eum as Im Re-na, an idol-turned-actress who becomes Ah-jin’s rival

The series is co-directed by Lee Eung-bok, who is known for hit dramas like Goblin and Sweet Home.

What to Expect in the Coming Episodes

The first four episodes established Baek Ah-jin’s difficult childhood and her first major steps into the entertainment industry. After cutting ties with her childhood friend Yoon Jun-seo, she signs with Longstar Entertainment.

The upcoming episodes are expected to focus on her rise as a new actress, a journey that will not be smooth. Her dark past, including the manipulation of those around her and the truth behind her father’s death, continues to threaten her new career. Meanwhile, Yoon Jun-seo is dealing with the guilt of taking the blame for a crime, and Kim Jae-oh’s return from prison adds another layer of complexity to the story.
