The tower-stacking challenge in Beast Games Season 2 stretched through an entire night and ended in a heart-stopping finish. After a brutal contest that tested both strategy and stamina, Team Yellow emerged victorious, sending the 20 players of Team Pink home. The deciding moment came in the third episode, where a failed jump by Team Pink’s captain sealed their fate.
The Setup for the Massive Block Stacking Challenge
In the second episode of the new season, host MrBeast presented the remaining players with a colossal task. Suspended 50 feet in the air above Beast City were two green flags. The 40 contestants who selected this challenge were split into two teams. Their goal was to construct a tower from large, random foam blocks tall and stable enough for one climber to reach and grab their flag. A critical rule added a major strategic element: only one player from each team could enter the sandbox to collect blocks at a time.
MrBeast appointed two captains. Leading Team Yellow was Cory, a US Navy veteran chosen for being the fastest finisher from the Strong team in the first game. Leading Team Pink was Johnny, a professional Pokรฉmon player recognized as the fastest from the Smart team. The captains then built their teams by selecting from a pool of strong players, smart players, and returning legends from Season 1.
“One of our hardest games ever!” MrBeast shouted to the contestants from a scissor lift, megaphone in hand. “Five million on the line!”
The Grueling Overnight Build and Strategic Shifts
The challenge began at night, with both teams racing to build their towers. Team Yellow took an early lead. Each team designated a “stacker”โthe person who would stay atop the growing structure to place the blocks. Team Yellow chose Colby, while Team Pink selected Gage.
Progress was painstaking and perilous. The towers became increasingly unstable as they grew taller. Team Yellow faced a major setback when their cable got stuck, allowing Team Pink to catch up. As the hours passed, exhaustion set in. Team Pink’s stacker, Gage, ran out of energy and was replaced by captain Johnny. Similarly, Team Yellow’s Colby grew tired from pulling up blocks. During the switch to a new stacker, Mitch, Team Yellow’s structure wobbled and fell, leveling the playing field once more as both towers were now at a similar height.
The sun rose with neither team having secured their flag. Both stackers, Mitch for Yellow and Johnny for Pink, were climbing their final blocks. Episode 2 ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, with Johnny making a leap for Team Pink’s flag.
The Final Jump and Team Yellow’s Victory
The conclusion arrived in Beast Games Season 2 Episode 3. The episode opened by resolving the suspense. Team Pink’s Johnny jumped for the flag but could not reach it and fell. This left the door open for Team Yellow. Their stacker, Mitch, made his attempt. He successfully grabbed the green flag, winning the block game for Team Yellow.
The victory meant that all 20 members of Team Yellow advanced in the competition for the $5 million prize. The entire 20-person Team Pink, including captain Johnny and returning Season 1 players like Deano, Twana, and Gage, was eliminated from Beast Games.

How the Tower Challenge Fits into the Season 2 Landscape
This intense block-stacking challenge was part of a larger series of games in Episode 2. Dubbed “Balls, Balance, Bluff & Blocks,” the round split 100 players into four different challenges. Alongside the Blocks game, contestants faced a shifting dodgeball match (“Balls”), a delicate heart-and-scale test (“Balance”), and a color-based deception game (“Bluff”).
The season started with 200 players divided into “Strong” and “Smart” teams. A major twist in Episode 2 saw ten current players accept a $100,000 cash offer to leave the game voluntarily. Their spots were immediately filled by ten returning fan favorites from Beast Games Season 1, including the previous season’s winner, Jeff Allen, and runner-up, Twana Barnett.
Following the block tower elimination, 70 players remained in the competition. The battle for the $5 million grand prize continues with new episodes releasing weekly.
