The end is near for Survivor 50. The May 13 episode, titled “Inconceivable,” sent two massive players packing in a brutal double elimination night. With the $2 million prize on the line and only one hidden immunity idol left in the game, no one felt safe. The Final Five are now locked in for the live finale on May 20, 2026 on CBS and Paramount+.
Rick Devens Gets Voted Out First After Shot in the Dark Fails
Rick Devens, the fan-favorite chaos agent from Season 38, became the first elimination of the night. Coming into Episode 12, Devens knew he was in trouble. He spent the early morning hunting for an idol, but Jonathan Young followed him everywhere, making sure he could not sneak away to find one.
The first immunity challenge tested players with a balancing block puzzle. Joe Hunter took the win with a slow and steady approach. Devens struggled badly, unable to keep his stack from falling multiple times. Without immunity and without an idol, his options ran out.
At Tribal Council, Devens did not go quietly. He played his Shot in the Dark, hoping for a lucky break. Jeff Probst opened the scroll in secret and announced the result: “Not safe.” The tribe voted Devens out unanimously, sending him to the jury.
Before leaving, Devens got emotional talking about his time on the island. He looked up at the stars and shared a moment with the tribe about feeling closer to heaven in Fiji. Even in defeat, he left with class, telling the remaining players, “I’m excited to vote for one of you all to win $2 million.”
Cirie Fields Joins the Jury After Tiffany Ervin Wins Key Immunity
The second half of the episode turned into a nightmare for Cirie Fields. The legendary player, making her fifth appearance on the US version of Survivor, had survived this long by building strong relationships. But her reputation worked against her. No one wanted to sit next to her at the Final Three because they knew she would win.
Heading into the second Tribal Council, Tiffany Ervin was the planned target. Players saw her as a strong competitor and a great speaker, dangerous in front of a jury. But Tiffany had other plans.
The second immunity challenge involved speed, balance, and an arch puzzle that spelled the word “inconceivable.” Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter reached the puzzle first but immediately ran into trouble. Neither could spell the word correctly. Jonathan guessed “INCONEEBLAIVC” while Joe tried “ENCONEIIVABLC.” Probst looked at their work and said, “Something is not right.”
While the two challenge beasts struggled, Tiffany locked in and finished the puzzle properly. She won immunity, forcing the tribe to pick a different target. With Tiffany safe, the vote turned directly to Cirie.

The Final Five Are Now Set for the May 20 Finale
The vote for Cirie was not personal. It was pure strategy. Rizo Velovic, who had been working closely with Cirie, knew he could not beat her at the end. He explained that keeping her in the game was almost impossible to justify. She had deep relationships, massive respect from the jury, and the kind of Survivor legacy that could easily sway votes. Cirie has never needed challenge wins to be dangerous. Her power has always been social awareness and timing.
At Tribal Council, Jeff Probst gave Cirie a rare honor. After reading the votes that sent her out, he did not say his usual line. Instead, he told Cirie, “Why don’t you say it?” She looked at the camera and said, “The tribe has spoken,” ending her run with dignity.
Cirie told Dalton Ross before the season that this would likely be her last time playing Survivor. She said, “I feel like 50 was my swan song.” If this is truly the end, she leaves as one of the greatest players to never win the game.
The Final Five players heading into the May 20 finale are:
- Aubry Bracco โ The strategic mastermind who helped orchestrate both the Ozzy and Cirie blindsides
- Joe Hunter โ A physical threat who has stayed off the chopping block
- Jonathan Young โ A challenge beast with a growing list of big moves
- Rizo Velovic โ A fan favorite who still holds a hidden immunity idol
- Tiffany Ervin โ An underdog who proved her challenge skills when it mattered most
The Survivor 50 finale airs live on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. The winner will take home $2 million, double the usual prize for this anniversary season.
