The wait for more spy action from Slough House is almost over. Apple TV+ has officially set the return date for its hit drama Slow Horses, and there is new blood joining Gary Oldman and the rest of the team. The streaming service also dropped the first images from the upcoming episodes, giving fans a look at what is coming this fall.
The new season will premiere on September 16, 2026. This will be a six-episode run. New episodes will drop every Wednesday. The season finale is scheduled for October 21, 2026.
Lenny Rush Joins the Spy Drama
A major piece of news for season six is the addition of Lenny Rush to the cast. He is a BAFTA TV Award winner known for his work on the BBC comedy Am I Being Unreasonable?. His exact role is being kept a secret for now. The first-look photos show him standing with Christopher Chung, who plays the tech expert Roddy Ho. This suggests Rush’s character will be spending time at the grim offices of Slough House.
The Slow Horses Go on the Run
The story for season six pulls from two books by author Mick Herron: Joe Country and Slough House. The official plot summary reveals a major shift for the team.
“The Slow Horses are on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.”
Diana Taverner, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, is putting the disgraced spies in serious danger. This forces Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and his team to go on the run. It raises the stakes higher than ever before for the MI5 rejects.
