The French thriller series The Hunt finally premiered on Apple TV+ on March 4, 2026. The show arrived after a three-month delay caused by plagiarism allegations that forced Apple to pull the series from its original December 2025 schedule .
First two episodes dropped March 4
The Hunt launched with its first two episodes on Wednesday, March 4. New episodes will release every Wednesday through April 1, 2026 . The complete first season consists of six episodes, each running approximately 52 minutes .
The series was originally scheduled to premiere on December 3, 2025. Apple removed it from the lineup about two weeks before that date following reports of plagiarism claims . French media reported the allegations involved Bernard Petit’s 1973 novel La Traque, though producer Gaumont’s internal investigation later determined the series adapts Douglas Fairbairn’s 1973 novel Shoot . The company secured the necessary rights and updated credits before the March release.
