The cast of Nobody Wants This is back at work in Los Angeles. Netflix confirmed that production for the third season officially began on March 24, 2026. The streaming service shared a collection of behind-the-scenes photos taken by Kristen Bell using a disposable camera, giving viewers a first look at the cast reuniting on set. The hit romantic comedy, which stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, is now in full production mode for its next chapter.

Returning Cast and New Season Production Details

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are back as the show’s central couple, Joanne and Noah. They are joined by returning series regulars Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn. The photos shared by Netflix show the cast and crew looking relaxed and comfortable during the early days of filming in Los Angeles.

The third season renewal was announced last fall, shortly after the ten-episode second season premiered on the platform. The writer’s room has been active for months, with scripts already completed for the upcoming episodes. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan continue as showrunners for the new season.

Expected Release Timeline for Season 3

While Netflix has not announced a specific release date, the production timeline follows a pattern from previous seasons. Season one arrived in October 2024, and season two premiered in October 2025. Based on this schedule, the third season is expected to arrive in late 2026, likely around November. The production is expected to continue through May 2026 before moving into post-production.

For global audiences, the new season will be available on Netflix in all regions including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and India on the same day of release.

What to Expect from the New Episodes

Season two ended with major changes for the characters. Joanne decided to commit fully to her relationship with Noah and accepted the idea of converting to Judaism. Esther separated from Sasha after questioning her marriage. Morgan returned to dating after her breakup with Dr. Andy.

The new season will continue these storylines. Joanne may begin formal conversion studies, and Noah might take the next step in their relationship, which could include moving in together or engagement. The show will also explore Esther and Sasha’s separation and Morgan’s life as she returns to dating.

Creator Erin Foster, who loosely based the series on her own relationship with her husband Simon Tikhman, has previously mentioned the possibility of appearing on the show in a small role. While nothing has been confirmed, she has expressed interest in stepping in front of the camera for a future episode.

Show’s Strong Performance on Netflix

Nobody Wants This became a major success for Netflix after its first season launch. The first two seasons spent a combined 12 weeks in the platform’s Global English TV Top 10. The show reached the Top 10 in 89 countries and hit number one in 43 countries. After season two premiered, the first season returned to the Top 10 list as viewers went back to rewatch earlier episodes.

Season two held the number one spot on Netflix’s English TV list for two consecutive weeks and collected 18 million views within its first 11 days. Rotten Tomatoes gave the second season a 90 percent score, showing strong approval from both viewers and critics.

The series follows an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi who form an unexpected connection. Their relationship grows as they deal with differences in beliefs, modern-day challenges, and family pressures. Season two showed how their relationship was tested as they tried to understand each other better.

The show has drawn attention for its portrayal of complex modern relationships and cultural differences. The supporting cast, which includes family members important to the story, has also received praise for their performances throughout the first two seasons.
