The 15th Korea Drama Awards, held at the Gyeongnam Culture and Art Center, was a night of celebration, recognizing some of the brightest stars in Korean entertainment. The event, which took place on October 12, 2024, saw Honey Lee, Kim Ji Won, Kim Soo Hyun, Byeon Woo Seok, and many others receive accolades for their exceptional performances in the year’s most beloved dramas.

The prestigious Daesang (Grand Prize) was awarded to Honey Lee for her powerful performance in the historical drama Knight Flower, marking a highlight of the night. The award-winning actress expressed her gratitude, stating, “This award is for everyone who supported Knight Flower and believed in me.”

Major Wins for Queen of Tears and Boyhood

Queen of Tears, starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, dominated the night, winning Best Picture, Best Couple, and Best OST. The series has captivated audiences with its emotional depth, showcasing the chemistry between the two leads. Both Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won earned individual recognition, with Kim Soo Hyun receiving the Global Star Award, and Kim Ji Won taking home the Hot Star Award (Female).

The coming-of-age drama Boyhood was another big winner, collecting three awards. Im Siwan won Best Actor for his compelling portrayal of a young man navigating life’s complexities, while Kang Hye Won received the Best New Actress award for her role in the same series.
