The CBS drama CIA wrapped up its first season on May 18, 2026, delivering an action-packed finale titled โ€œBroken Glass.โ€ The episode resolved the season-long mole mystery while bringing intense emotional stakes for the main characters.

The finale drew in viewers who followed the journey of Colin Glass and Bill Goodman, two agents from different worlds forced to work together. Episode 12, running 60 minutes, aired on CBS and became available for streaming on Paramount+ (live for Premium subscribers and on-demand the next day for Essential subscribers).

Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss Lead the Finale as Colin Glass and Bill Goodman

Tom Ellis returns as Colin Glass, the rule-breaking CIA agent with a complicated past. In the finale, Colin faces the shocking truth about his former partner Toni, who he believed died in a bombing in the Philippines. The episode reveals that Toni faked her death and has been working with Pyramid Security, forcing Colin to deal with deep personal betrayal while trying to stop an intelligence theft operation.

Nick Gehlfuss plays Bill Goodman, the FBI agent loaned to the CIA/FBI task force. Throughout the season, Bill served as the by-the-book partner to Colinโ€™s loose-cannon style. In Episode 12, Bill stays loyal to Colin even when the FBI wants to take over the case. He helps Colin track down the truth about Pyramid while managing pressure from his superiors.

The chemistry between Ellis and Gehlfuss has been a major reason fans stayed invested in the show. Their partnership grew from constant clashes to genuine trust by the finale.

Angela Sarafyan Joins the Cast as Toni, Colinโ€™s Former Partner

Angela Sarafyan appears as Toni, Colinโ€™s former partner and love interest who was presumed dead. Her return in the finale changes everything. The episode reveals through flashbacks that Toni and Colin were together in Mindanao, Philippines, one year ago. After a mission went wrong, Colin arrived late to meet her and survived an explosion that he thought killed her.

In reality, Toni had been secretly working with Pyramid Security. The company pulled her out before the blast and staged her death. She spent 15 months on a solo mission to bring down Project Bingham, a secret spy program run by Harold Tan.

Toni kills Kevin Turner (played by Jake Matthews), the mole inside the CIA, at St. Simonโ€™s Hospital. She later shoots Tan at a Pyramid company party, claiming she was trying to protect CEO Joanne. The finale ends with Toni agreeing to CIA questioning while Colin watches from behind glass, heartbroken and unsure if he can trust her again.

The Supporting Cast Brings the Intelligence Team Together

Natalee Linez plays Gina Gosian, the CIA analyst who helps the team track down leads and manage operations. She appears throughout Episode 12 as Colin and Bill race against time.

Necar Zadegan returns as Nikki Reynard, the Deputy Chief of Station who manages the fusion cell. In the finale, Nikki pushes to bring Toni in alive while dealing with pressure from her superiors.

Jeremy Sisto appears as Jubal Valentine, the FBI supervisor who offers Bill a promotion at the end of the episode. Bill turns it down to stay partners with Colin.

Sarah Diamond plays Sarah Lloyd, a team member who goes undercover at the Pyramid party alongside Bill. Kyra Zagorsky appears as Sonya Pesyakova, and James Chen plays Ian Lim.

How Episode 12 Brings the Season Storylines to a Close

The episode, written by Mike Weiss and directed by Ken Girotti, picks up right after the mole reveal. Kevin Turner is identified as the CIA mole, but Toni kills him before the team can question him. Bill initially suspects Colin might be involved, but the truth comes out quickly.

The team discovers that Harold Tan has been running Project Bingham, a global network of corrupt agents selling intelligence. Tan staged the Philippines bombing that supposedly killed Toni. When Toni starts killing Pyramidโ€™s assets, Tan puts a hit out on her.

The finaleโ€™s action centers on a Pyramid company party celebrating a merger. Joanne, the CEO, has no idea Tan has been running illegal operations under her nose. Toni shows up at the party, not to kill Joanne but to save her from Tanโ€™s men. Toni shoots Tan, then agrees to cooperate with authorities.

Colin gets shot while saving Sarah but survives. The episode ends with the team escaping the party and Toni entering custody.
