The Black Clover manga has officially wrapped up after 11 years. Fans finally learned who becomes the Wizard King and where Yuno ends up after the final battle against Lucius Zogratis.
The series ended with Chapter 392, which released on May 1, 2026, in the Spring issue of Jump GIGA magazine. The final three chapters gave readers a proper goodbye to Yuki Tabata’s beloved shonen series.
Asta Beats Yuno in Final Duel for Wizard King Crown
The biggest question throughout the series got answered. Asta defeated Yuno in a one-on-one fight to claim the title of Wizard King.
The battle happens six months after the war against Lucius Zogratis. The Clover Kingdom could not pick between Asta and Yuno for the next Wizard King. Both had saved countless lives during the final war. So the kingdom decided on a simple solution. The two rivals would fight, and the winner takes the crown.
The fight showed how much both characters had grown. Yuno used his massive mana supply with Star Magic and Spirit Dive. Asta relied on his Anti-Magic, ki detection, and Zetten technique. Yuno kept Asta at a distance with long-range spells. Asta could not get close enough to land a clean hit.
But Asta got creative with his Anti-Magic use. His physical stamina outlasted Yuno’s mana reserves. Asta found the opening he needed and struck Yuno’s weak point. Yuno accepted the loss with a smile and no hard feelings.
Yuno Becomes Golden Dawn Captain and Splits Time Between Kingdoms
Yuno did not walk away empty-handed. After a two-year time skip in Chapter 392, Yuno became the new captain of the Golden Dawn squad. William Vengeance stepped down from the position, and Yuno took over.
Yuno also balances his duties between two kingdoms. He serves as the vice-captain of the Golden Dawn in the Clover Kingdom. But he also travels to the Spade Kingdom to fulfill his role as the crown prince. Klaus helps Yuno run the Golden Dawn squad.

No Romance for Asta as Noelle and Mimosa Start New Competition
The finale confirmed multiple relationships became official. Yami Sukehiro and Charlotte Roselei ended up together, which the series had hinted at for years.
But Asta did not marry anyone. He was too focused on becoming Wizard King throughout the story to notice Noelle Silva or Mimosa Vermillion’s feelings for him. Noelle and Mimosa admitted they never got the chance to tell Asta how they felt. Now that Asta is Wizard King, he stays busy with his new responsibilities. The two girls start a new rivalry over Asta.
Noelle’s family situation also improved. Nozel, Nebra, and Solid were seen eating together warmly. The Silva siblings finally found the family love they had been missing.

The Black Bulls squad went through major changes. Yami Sukehiro stepped down as captain. Nacht Faust took over the position. Keeping the chaotic Black Bulls under control became Nacht’s biggest challenge.
Asta as Wizard King still does things his own way. He continues going out to handle threats himself instead of sitting behind a desk doing paperwork.
Julius Novachrono, the previous Wizard King, died after using his Time Magic to restore the Clover Kingdom and bring back war victims in his final act.

The Black Clover anime returns in October 2026 on Crunchyroll. The new season will adapt the rest of the manga from where the original series stopped in March 2021.
