The internet is having a heated debate after celebrity stylist Law Roach publicly dismissed the viral AI-generated wedding photos of Zendaya and Tom Holland. While fans have been obsessing over the fake images that racked up millions of likes online, Roach made it clear that the real bridal gown he helped create is on a completely different level.
Roach appeared on Good Morning America on June 29, 2026, and was asked about the AI-generated images that have been circulating since March. The stylist did not hold back his thoughts on the digital creation. He said the fake dress was simply “not good enough”. He confidently stated, “Trust me, the dress is better than that”.
Host Lara Spencer asked if the final real creation looked anything like the photos online. Roach laughed and responded firmly, “Absolutely not”. This confirms that Zendaya’s actual bridal look, which has been kept completely private, is far different from the cream-colored gown with thin straps and a lace veil seen in the fake pictures.
How the AI Wedding Photos Fooled the Internet
The AI-generated images first appeared online shortly after Law Roach accidentally revealed the couple’s secret wedding at the Actor Awards on March 1, 2026. When a reporter asked about the couple, Roach simply said, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it!”.
Following this confirmation, creators used AI to generate convincing images of the couple getting married in Lake Como, Italy. One viral Instagram photo dump received more than 10 million likes. The photos were so realistic that many people believed they were real. Some images even showed other celebrities like Robert Downey Jr. and Andrew Garfield attending.
Zendaya and Tom Holland React to the Viral Fakes
Before Roach’s recent comments, both Zendaya and Tom Holland had already spoken about the AI images. During a March appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Zendaya shared that people in her real life were fooled by the pictures. She said, “While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real’”.
Tom Holland also confirmed in his June 2026 interview with Esquire that the couple is indeed married. He revealed that his grandmother saw the fake AI photos and worried she hadn’t been invited. When asked if he had to contact other family members, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there”. He kept further details private, saying, “That’s all you’ll get on that”.
Internet Demands: “Show the Receipts”
Following Law Roach’s comments, social media users quickly fired back. Many people demanded that Roach prove his claim by showing the actual wedding photos. One user on X wrote, “Then he should show receipts or hang it up”. Another person argued, “If it was indeed better than this, why not showcase it for everyone to see”. Some critics even lashed out at the stylist’s work, with one user saying Zendaya has been wearing “the same basic looks for years”.
However, many fans defended Law Roach and his skills. One supporter argued, “The fact he felt the need to correct AI tells me the real dress would have been an all-time fashion moment”. Another fan agreed, saying, “AI can copy the rules of beautiful dresses… The stylist learned Zendaya: how she moves, how the light hits, what works for the moment. You can’t copy that”.

Why the Real Dress Will Stay a Secret
Law Roach has previously explained why the public will likely never see Zendaya’s actual wedding dress. During a May 2025 interview, he stated, “She and Tom are super private about their relationship”. He added, “There won’t be a Vogue spread, or there won’t be pictures of the wedding”. He emphasized that guests will be respectful of their privacy, meaning the real dress remains a closely guarded secret.
Zendaya and Tom Holland first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming and publicly confirmed their relationship in 2021. The couple has kept their personal lives mostly out of the spotlight, which has made fans even more curious about their wedding. With the public demanding “receipts,” the debate over the AI dress versus the real one continues to rage online.
