The wait for The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 is almost over. The anime officially returns on July 5, 2026, with the premiere of Episode 1 (which is also Episode 25 overall). The new season continues the hilarious and chaotic story of Rentaro Aijo and his ever-growing family of soulmates.
The third season premieres on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. in Japan. Other Japanese networks like Sun TV and BS11 will also broadcast the episode.
For international viewers, Crunchyroll streamed the first two seasons and is expected to carry Season 3 as well. Muse Asia also holds international rights and previously streamed episodes shortly after they aired in Japan. An official simulcast announcement for global territories is still pending.
Episode 1 Introduces Rentaro’s Cousin Chiyo
The first episode of Season 3 is titled “Itoko no Kanojo” which translates to “The Cousin”. The story begins when Rentaro’s uncle asks him to look after his daughter, Chiyo Iin.
Rentaro does not expect a romantic connection with his own cousin. But the moment he meets Chiyo, he is immediately drawn to her. Chiyo is a first-year junior high student who serves as class president. She has a strong need for order and discipline, which creates funny problems for Rentaro.
New Characters Joining the Rentaro Family
Season 3 brings several new girlfriends into Rentaro’s life. Here are the confirmed new characters:
- Chiyo Iin: Rentaro’s cousin and a strict junior high class president
- Nadi: A Japanese language teacher who wears a cowboy hat and a star-spangled scarf
- Yamame Yasashiki: A gentle member of her school’s gardening club
- Momiji Momi: A third-year junior high student with a fascination for touching things
- Kishika Torotoro: The confident leader of the girls’ kendo club
The official key visual released on April 30 shows all 17 girlfriends together.
Voice Cast for the New Season
Kaori Ishihara voices Chiyo Iin. Ayana Taketatsu voices Nadi. Both voice actresses were revealed at the AnimeJapan 2026 event.
Ishihara shared her excitement about joining the series. She said, “I’m so happy to be taking on the role of Iin Chiyo. I was both thrilled to be a part of it and honestly a little worried about whether I could pull off the same energy. But once the voice recording started, it was just fun, fun, fun. I’ve become addicted to 100 Girlfriends”.
Taketatsu also expressed her enthusiasm. She explained, “Nadie speaks in broken, mysterious English and wears American clothes, but she is actually a Japanese language teacher. Her appearance and way of speaking reflect Nadie’s way of life. When I first went to the recording studio, I was almost overwhelmed by the energy and tension of the other girls and Rentaro, but there was laughter and excitement every time”.
The voice actors for Yamame, Momiji, and Kishika have not been announced yet.

What to Expect from Season 3
The series is based on the manga by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa. The story follows Rentaro Aijo, a boy who was rejected by 100 girls in middle school. After praying at a shrine, the God of Love appears and tells him he is destined to meet 100 soulmates. But there is a serious catch. If Rentaro does not make every single one of them happy, they will all die.
The first season premiered in October 2023, and the second season aired in January 2025. The third season picks up where Season 2 left off, with Rentaro’s girlfriend count now in the double digits.
The series is known for its absurd humor, over-the-top situations, and surprisingly genuine emotional moments. Season 3 promises more of the same chaotic energy that fans love.
