BTS’ Jungkook continues to make history as his debut solo album Golden becomes the fastest Asian album to reach 3 billion streams on Spotify. The album achieved this milestone in just 140 days after its release in November 2023. Even during his military service, Jungkook’s music remains a global sensation, breaking records and setting new benchmarks for K-pop soloists.
The album’s total streams crossed 3,083,874,414 in March 2024, as confirmed by the World Music Awards (WMA). Golden outperformed albums by international superstars like Justin Bieber’s Justice (148 days) and Ariana Grande’s thank u, next (161 days). This makes Jungkook the first and only Asian solo artist to reach this milestone at such a rapid pace.
Fans worldwide celebrated the achievement, flooding social media with congratulatory messages. Many called him the “ACE OF ASIA” and “HISTORY MAKER JUNGKOOK,” praising his unmatched vocal talent and stage presence.
“Jungkook is making history worldwide every day! His voice is pure gold, and his success is 100% organic.”
“Golden is a masterpiece. No autotune, just raw talent. That’s why he’s the standard.”
“Even in the military, Jungkook’s music dominates. Legend behavior!”
Jungkook’s Golden features hit tracks like Seven (feat. Latto) and Standing Next to You, both of which earned awards at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards for being the most-played songs on U.S. radio. The album blends pop, R&B, and UK garage influences, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
Despite enlisting in December 2023, Jungkook’s influence remains strong. His recent interactions on Weverse, where he teased his upcoming military discharge on June 11, have further excited fans. Many are replaying his songs in anticipation of his return.
