After a dramatic arrest that closed its first season, Tulsa King Season 2 saw Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi fighting to secure his empire from jail and on the streets of Tulsa. The season, which aired from September 15 to November 17, 2024, piled new threats onto the mafia capo, ending with a kidnapping that left his future completely uncertain. If you’re jumping into the new season, here is everything you need to remember about the turf wars, shaky alliances, and that shocking finale.
Dwightโs Legal Win and Expanding Business
The season picked up with Dwight on trial following his arrest by the ATF in the Season 1 finale. The case, “Oklahoma v. Manfredi,” was resolved surprisingly quickly. Dwight managed to win his case and was released from jail. He even made amends with Stacy Beale, the ATF agent who initially arrested him. While incarcerated, the ever-resourceful General didn’t waste time; he orchestrated a deal to buy a wind farm, further expanding his legitimate business front alongside his cannabis operation and the planned casino.
New Enemies and a Tulsa Turf War
Dwight’s freedom was short-lived. His success attracted dangerous attention, sparking a violent turf war. His main adversaries were Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough), a powerful local oil baron and marijuana supplier, and Bill “B.B.” Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo), a ruthless Kansas City mob boss.
Thresher viewed Dwight as an outsider invading his territory and allied with the Chinese Triad, led by the merciless Ming. This led to several confrontations, including a major brawl between their crews that was a violent highlight of the season. The conflict culminated with Ming being killed by Tyson, who sought revenge for an attack on his father. With Ming gone, Dwight strong-armed Thresher into handing over his weed operation, telling him to leave the gangster life behind.
Meanwhile, Bill Bevilaqua demanded a 50% cut of Dwight’s business in exchange for peace. Their negotiations were strained from the start, especially since Dwight held Bevilaqua responsible for the death of his crew member, Jimmy.
A Shaky Deal and a Shocking Murder
The tension with the Kansas City mob escalated with the arrival of Chickie Invernizzi (Domenick Lombardozzi), Dwight’s former boss from New York. Chickie came to Tulsa with an offer for Dwight to rejoin the family, which Dwight forcefully rejected.
Chickie then met with Bevilaqua, and the two seemingly agreed to team up against Dwight. However, during a tense meeting at Dwight’s casino, Chickie disrespectfully dismissed Bevilaqua in front of everyone. In a sudden and brutal response, Bevilaqua shot Chickie in the head, killing him instantly on the spot. Witnessing this display of power, Dwight immediately agreed to Bevilaqua’s original terms, giving him a 50% share of his operations. This established a temporary but deeply unstable peace.
The Season 2 Finale Cliffhanger
After securing the deal, Dwight celebrated with his crew at the opening of a commercial for Mitch Keller’s Car City. He gave a speech, expressing happiness that they were now “legit” and could stop looking over their shoulders.
This moment of peace was shattered in the final scene. At 3 a.m., Dwight and his love interest, Margaret, were asleep when an armed, masked assault team stormed into her home. They threw hoods over Dwight and Margaret’s heads and kidnapped them. In a dark interrogation room, a disembodied voice told a blinded Dwight, “You work for us now.” The identity of the captors was not revealed, though clues pointed to a federal agency like the FBI or ATF, setting a major storyline for Season 3.
