The conflict between Dwight “The General” Manfredi and local liquor magnate Jeremiah Dunmire escalated to a boiling point in the latest episode of Tulsa King. The second episode of season 3, titled “The Fifty,” which aired on September 28, 2025, concluded with a direct and personal threat delivered on Dwight’s home turf, setting the stage for an all-out war.
The episode’s tense ending saw Jeremiah Dunmire walk into Dwight’s casino to issue a chilling ultimatum. After failing to acquire the burned-out Montague distillery from Dwight, Jeremiah made his intentions clear face-to-face.
The Confrontation at the Casino
Jeremiah’s appearance at Dwight’s casino was a calculated power move. After his son Cole’s failed attempt to intimidate Dwight’s crew, Jeremiah decided to handle the matter himself. He told Dwight that his intrusion into the liquor business had left him with no choice.
“So given your intrusion, I am obligated to destroy everything you have built, and everyone you love, piece by piece, limb by limb, for my and my descendants’ sake,” Jeremiah threatened.
Dwight, never one to back down, responded in kind. He dismissed Jeremiah’s intimidation and promised to take everything the Dunmire family had built.
“Your empire is in danger, Dunmireโฆ I’m gonna take it from you. All of it, every bit. Then 10 more, then 20 more, on the back of what you and your kin built,” Dwight fired back.
This standoff marks a significant turning point, transforming their rivalry from a business dispute into a deeply personal feud.
The Reason Behind the Threat
The source of the conflict was revealed earlier in the episode. After Dwight refused to sell the destroyed distillery, he grew suspicious about why Jeremiah was so desperate to buy it. His questions led to a major discovery.
Cleo Montague, daughter of the late Theo Montague, showed Dwight a hidden storage unit on the property. Inside were about 200 barrels of 50-year-old bourbon, a stockpile known as “The Fifty.” This vintage bourbon, made by three generations of Montagues, is estimated to be worth around $150 million.
Jeremiah knew the barrels existed but did not know their location. His plan was to acquire the property and then find the bourbon, using it to recoup massive losses his own distillery had suffered over the last decade. With Dwight now in control of the incredibly valuable bourbon, Jeremiah’s family business and legacy are facing ruin, explaining his extreme desperation.
Attacks and Alliances
Before the final confrontation, both sides took actions that raised the stakes. Jeremiah’s son, Cole, attacked Mitch and Cleo at their cabin. The assault was thwarted when Cleo fought back, slashing Cole’s arm with a knife.
Meanwhile, Dwight worked to build his own operation. He strong-armed a local distributor, Walden, into agreeing to sell the Montague bourbon. He also struck a deal with Bill from the Kansas City mob to use his trucks for distribution, and secured a future political favor from Cal, who is running for governor.
Jeremiah retaliated by having his men brutally beat Walden, showing that he still holds significant influence in Tulsa’s underworld.
The discovery of the bourbon and the ensuing threats have firmly positioned Dwight as a direct challenger to the Dunmire family’s dominance, promising a violent and high-stakes battle for control in the episodes to come.
