The latest episode of Ryan Murphy’s glitzy legal drama All’s Fair pushes its all-star cast to extreme and bizarre new heights. Episode 7, titled “Letting Go,” centers around a raw and unconventional display of grief, while the series’ signature messy personal conflicts boil over. With a plot that finds a major character refusing to give up her husband’s body, the episode is a showcase for the talents of its famous ensemble, from Glenn Close and Sarah Paulson to Kim Kardashian. The episode premiered on Hulu on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, continuing the show’s weekly release schedule. Here is a full breakdown of the main and guest stars who brought the chaos to life.

The Main Cast of All’s Fair Episode 7

The seventh episode features the core cast of powerhouse lawyers and their complicated entanglements. Each actor delivers the show’s signature blend of high-stakes legal drama and deeply personal turmoil.

  • Kim Kardashian as Allura Grant: Kardashian plays the stylish and formidable founder of the all-female law firm. In this episode, Allura is finalizing her divorce from her serial-cheater husband, Chase, but her professional resolve masks a lingering emotional connection. She gives Chase a list of his past partners, sending him on a doomed apology tour.
  • Naomi Watts as Liberty Ronson: Watts portrays the British lawyer who often feels like an outsider in the firm’s “American sisterhood”. In “Letting Go,” Liberty’s insecurities flare up when she feels excluded from the inner circle supporting their grieving boss, Dina. This leads to a bitter and competitive rift with her rival, Carr.
  • Glenn Close as Dina Standish: Close embodies the legendary founding partner of the firm. The episode’s emotional core revolves around Dina’s profound grief after the death of her husband, Doug. In a shocking move, she refuses to release his body or allow a funeral, creating a macabre situation that the other characters must navigate.
  • Sarah Paulson as Carrington “Carr” Lane: Paulson plays the sharp-tongued rival lawyer who is sometimes an ally and sometimes an enemy to the main firm. She sees Dina’s grief as an opportunity to get closer to the powerful attorney, directly competing with Liberty. Carr delivers one of the episode’s most talked-about and absurd monologues in an attempt to win Dina’s sympathy.
  • Niecy Nash-Betts as Emerald Greene: As the firm’s researcher and emotional anchor, Nash-Betts’ character is the quiet truth-teller who knows everyone’s secrets. In this episode, she attempts to support Dina and gently persuade her to let go of Doug’s body, but she also faces Dina’s lashing anger in the process.
  • Teyana Taylor as Milan: Taylor plays the younger lawyer whose life became entangled with Allura’s when she became pregnant by Allura’s then-husband, Chase. She returns as the final, explosive stop on Chase’s apology tour. Their meeting quickly escalates into a hostile confrontation with objects being thrown.
  • Matthew Noszka as Chase Munroe: Noszka returns as Allura’s ex-husband, the athletic and chronically unfaithful Chase. Forced by Allura to apologize to the women he has wronged, his “apology tour” is a series of disastrous meetings that culminate in the fiery showdown with Milan. Despite the divorce, he and Allura share a messy, unresolved reunion by the episode’s end.

Key Guest and Recurring Stars in ‘Letting Go’

Beyond the central lawyers, Episode 7 features several key recurring actors who play pivotal roles in the unfolding drama.

  • Ed O’Neill as Doug “Dougie” Standish: Though his character dies at the end of the previous episode, O’Neill’s Doug remains the silent centerpiece of “Letting Go”. His physical presenceโ€”or rather, the prolonged presence of his body in Dina’s bedโ€”drives the entire plot and forces every other character to confront themes of love, loss, and letting go.
  • Hari Nef as Maria Coulatis: Actress and model Hari Nef appears in a brief but memorable role as one of Chase’s past partners. During his apology tour, Maria stands out for her calm and brutally honest reception of Chase, pointing out that his grand gestures cannot fix his fundamental character flaws.
  • Adlih Alvarado as Esperanza: Alvarado plays Dina’s housekeeper, who is tasked with guarding the door and turning away visitors according to her employer’s wishes. Her small role highlights just how isolated and withdrawn Dina has become in her grief, though she is ultimately unable to stop Liberty and Carr from pushing their way inside.

Other supporting actors include Amitai Porat as Mike the bartender, who serves Allura and Chase during their divorce meeting, and Sophia Bui as a legal assistant at the firm, part of the background staff keeping the business running while the leads deal with personal crises.

What Happened in Episode 7: ‘Letting Go’?

The episode opens with Dina Standish in bed beside the body of her recently deceased husband, Doug. Instead of making funeral arrangements, she continues her daily routine with him still in the house, a fact she hides from her concerned colleagues.

At the law firm, Liberty feels slighted after learning that Allura and Emerald have been in contact with Dina, while she has been ignored. This fuels her existing rivalry with Carrington “Carr” Lane. Both women separately visit Dina’s home to pay their respects, resulting in a tense standoff. They push past the housekeeper and discover Doug’s body is still upstairs. While Liberty is horrified, Carr uses the situation to her advantage, delivering an outrageous and emotionally manipulative monologue about grieving for a childhood pet to bond with Dina.

Meanwhile, Allura meets Chase to finalize their divorce. She tells him she forgives him but hands him a list compiled by Emerald of women he has hurt, demanding he make amends. A montage shows his attempts going poorly, culminating in a violent confrontation with Milan, who is pregnant with his child. The meeting ends with Milan hurling objects at him and Chase threatening to sue for custody.

Back at Dina’s, Carr organizes an elaborate, unwanted memorial service. Liberty attempts to contribute with bagpipers, but both efforts upset Dina. Eventually, Allura, Emerald, Liberty, and Carr gather together to finally confront Dina. They convince her that Doug’s spirit is no longer in his body and that she must let go.

In the episode’s final scenes, the women reflect on love and loss. Allura admits Chase is the love of her life, a revelation undercut by the fact that she has already secretly gone to his house and slept with him again. The next morning, Chase asks for another chance, but Allura leaves without answering.
