The competition for a $1.8 million private island on the latest episode of Beast Games has ended, with one player walking away with the deed. Episode 4, titled “The Survivor Takeover,” featured a high-stakes crossover with the legendary reality series Survivor and was released on January 14, 2026. The intense showdown ultimately saw Ian, Player 148, win the luxury property after a dramatic final vote by his fellow contestants.
The episode narrowed the remaining players from 25 to 20 and concluded with a stunning unanimous decision by the jury. This island prize marks one of the largest single giveaways in the show’s history, which features a total prize pool of $15 million for its second season.
How the $1.8 Million Private Island Challenge Unfolded
The path to the private island began with a major betrayal back in Beast City. JT, Player 126, was faced with the “Captain Bribe” decision carried over from the previous episode. He could take $1 million for himself, but the catch was that doing so would eliminate his entire five-person team from the competition. In a shocking moment, JT accepted the bribe, instantly becoming a millionaire but sending his teammates, including fan-favorite OG player Mia, home.
“My teammates were just used as pawns for you to get a million dollars,” a devastated teammate Luke stated. Mia, who won an island herself in Season 1, told JT, “You look real bad in front of Godโฆ We don’t respect you no more”.
This left 21 players remaining. To select who would travel to compete for the island, the contestants participated in a cannonball scavenger hunt. The first ten to load and fire a cannon secured their spot on the trip to the actual Survivor filming location in Fiji.
The Survivor Island Showdown and Jeff Probst’s Hosting
The ten lucky players arrived on the island to find Jeff Probst, the iconic host of Survivor, waiting for them on the beach. This collaboration was a major event for the show, filmed before the production of Survivor’s 50th season. Probst welcomed the group, framing the competition as a social experiment about what people will do for money.
The first challenge was a team-based obstacle course relay, modeled after classic Survivor immunity challenges. It involved a net crawl, a ball toss, a table maze, and a final puzzle. The teams were led by Ian (Yellow Team) and Sue, Player 91 (Pink Team). Sue, a former Survivor finalist known as “Suenami,” was the only Survivor alum left in the Beast Games competition.
Ian’s Yellow Team won the relay, sending all five of its members to the final round. The losing Pink Team was eliminated from the island competition.
The Final Grip Challenge and a Costly $50,000 Bribe
The second and final challenge was “Get a Grip,” one of Survivor’s most iconic tests of endurance. The five remaining players had to hold onto a tall pole for as long as possible. The last two people holding on would advance to a final tribal council, where the other eight eliminated players would vote to award the island.
As the challenge wore on, MrBeast offered a $50,000 bribe to the three players still clinging to their poles. Ethan, Player 21, accepted the guaranteed cash and let go, a decision fans later criticized as he appeared to be in a strong position to win.
This left Ian and JC, Player 566, as the final two. JC is a returning player from Season 1, where he won $650,000 by betraying other players, cementing his reputation as a villain.
Ian’s Unanimous Victory at Tribal Council
Ian and JC pleaded their cases to the eight-person jury at a Tribal Council held on a classic Survivor shipwreck set. Ian spoke emotionally about his family and his journey, including his background as an American Ninja Warrior competitor.
“I have envisioned this, and to have it come to fruition isโฆ This is very special,” Ian said after his win.
JC argued for redemption, stating he wanted to fix his broken parts from the previous season. The jury was not convinced. In a unanimous 8-0 vote, every jury member chose Ian to win the $1.8 million private island.

The Twist: A $10 Million Coin for the Runner-Up
In a surprising post-vote twist, MrBeast presented JC with a gold coin. He explained that if JC manages to reach the top six in the overall Beast Games competition, he can flip the coin. If it lands correctly, the season’s $5 million grand prize would double to $10 million.
This gives the season’s villain a major piece of leverage as the game continues. When asked what was on his mind, JC simply replied, “Leverage”.
Twenty players now remain in the main competition for the $5 million grand prize. New episodes of Beast Games Season 2 premiere weekly on Wednesdays on Amazon Prime Video, with the season finale scheduled for February 25, 2026.
