The anime community has been eagerly waiting for the next installment of Draw This, Then Die! (also known as Kore Kaite Shine). But here is the news: episode 7 is not coming this week. The official production team has confirmed a schedule change. Episode 7 will now arrive on August 21, 2026, instead of the originally planned August 14 date.
The delay happens because Japanese broadcaster NTV is airing a special program—Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind—on the evening of August 14. This programming change means fans will have to wait an extra week for the next chapter of this manga-inspired story.

What Happened in Episode 6?
Episode 6, titled “Comitia – Let’s Draw Even More Interesting Manga,” aired on August 7, 2026. It was a major milestone episode for the series.
The episode focused on the Manga Research Club’s first participation in Comitia, a real-life doujinshi market where indie creators sell their own manga. The club members set up their booth and tried to sell their first original work.
The episode introduced a new character: Loups Garous (voiced by Anna Nagase), a manga creator around the same age as protagonist Ai Yasumi. Ai meets this character at Comitia.
Fans reacted strongly to the episode’s realistic portrayal of the selling experience. One scene that drew particular attention showed the passage of time from the perspective of the protagonist sitting at her booth. The episode captured the harsh reality of selling at a large event—the anxiety, the slow hours, and the struggle to attract buyers.
The episode also explored the creative process. Ai faced challenges with idea blocks, rejected drafts, late nights chasing deadlines, and self-doubt about finding her own art style.
Episode 7 Title and Story Details
Episode 7 is titled “Lost World – Draw Like You Mean to Kill” (Japanese: ロストワールド~殺すつもりで描こう).
The official synopsis reveals that the episode takes place on the ship returning from Comitia. Rei Teshima (the teacher and club advisor) looks at the Manga Research Club members and sees reflections of her own past self—when she was once pursuing a career as a manga artist.
The episode then flashes back to Teshima’s younger days. At age 23, in the autumn of that year, she takes on a position as an assistant to Hebichika-sensei, a manga creator she admires. This opportunity comes through the recommendation of Hana Kongōji. Teshima gets to work on the hit manga Sweet Hebichigo and spends her days full of energy and excitement.
This episode promises to reveal more about Teshima-sensei’s backstory. Previous episodes have hinted at her past struggles as an aspiring manga artist. Episode 7 will likely show the full picture of her journey and what led her to become a teacher rather than a professional creator.
