In a deeply emotional Instagram post, Kim So Eun shared her grief with fans by posting a selfie with Song Jae Rim and a heartfelt message. She reflected on their connection and wished him a peaceful journey in the afterlife. In her post, she referenced a Korean belief in the “Samdochun” or Sanzu River, which souls are said to cross in the afterlife.
Kim So Eun wrote:
“No words on earth can describe how much it hurts. I hope he is not lonely in his long journey. Goodbye… my friend… See you again.”
She reassured her fans not to worry about her as she mourns his loss. The post struck a chord with many who admired their friendship and were saddened by his untimely passing.
The 38-year-old actor was found deceased at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on November 12. Authorities confirmed there were no signs of foul play but revealed that a two-page note was found at the scene. Investigations into the exact cause of death are still ongoing.
Song Jae Rim, best known for his roles in dramas like Moon Embracing the Sun (2012) and his candid personality on We Got Married, had recently been working on multiple projects, including My Military Valentine and Queen Woo. His sudden death has left a void in the industry and among his fans.
