Starting June 1, 2026, all three films from Vin Diesel‘s cult sci-fi series Riddick have landed on Netflix. The streaming addition includes Pitch Black (2000), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and Riddick (2013). The trilogy follows the antihero Richard B. Riddick, an escaped convict with night vision who fights for survival against alien creatures, bounty hunters, and cosmic threats.
Fans of the Fast & Furious star now have a fresh reason to binge the franchise. The movies became available on Netflix US and other regions at the start of the month. Reports also confirm the trilogy climbed into Netflix’s Top 10 films list shortly after its debut.
Complete Riddick Trilogy Now Available for Streaming Worldwide
Pitch Black started it all. The movie is about a spacecraft that crashes on a desert planet. The planet has three suns and is always bright. But when an eclipse happens, deadly creatures come out in the dark. Vin Diesel’s character, Riddick, is a prisoner on the ship. He becomes the only person who can guide the survivors.
The Chronicles of Riddick came out in 2004. It expands the world. Riddick faces a dangerous army called the Necromongers. Dame Judi Dench and Karl Urban join the cast in this sequel.
Riddick (2013) brings the story back to basics. Riddick is left for dead on a harsh planet. He fights alien beasts and bounty hunters who want his head.
Director David Twohy helmed all three movies. The franchise has earned a combined $267 million worldwide. The 2013 film alone made about $98 million against a $38 million budget.
Vin Diesel Celebrates Netflix Success Amid Fourth Movie Delays
Vin Diesel took to social media to share his excitement. He posted about the Riddick movies performing well on Netflix.
“Had some really great Riddick meetings this week… only to find that all three films are in the top ten Netflix movies. Wow. So grateful to our Furyan community. Haha. Happy creative Sunday…”
This update from Diesel confirms he is still actively working on the next sequel, Riddick: Furya. The project was announced back in February 2023. Plans included a shoot in Europe starting August 2024. As of June 2026, there is still no official release date for the fourth film.
Production has faced several challenges. These include arranging independent financing, post-production costs, and Vin Diesel’s busy schedule with the Fast & Furious franchise. Despite the delays, fans remain eager to see Riddick return to his home world, Furya.
