G-Dragon, the leader of K-Pop group BIGBANG, has finished a major world tour. The last show was a big event in Seoul, South Korea. It was not just a concert finale. It was a night where he reunited with his bandmates on stage and shared news about the group’s future plans.
The final concert, called ‘G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [รbermensch] IN SEOUL : ENCORE’, happened on December 14 at the Gocheok Sky Dome. This was the 39th and last show of a tour that started in March. The tour went to 17 cities across Asia, the United States, and Europe. For this special hometown show, G-Dragon opened with a strong performance of his song “Power“. He wore a white outfit, which was different from the red suit he wore for the first concert eight months earlier.

The BIGBANG Reunion Performance
The biggest surprise of the night came during the song “Home Sweet Home”. Fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung came on stage as special guests. Their appearance marked a rare public performance together, creating an emotional moment for the artist and fans. G-Dragon introduced himself formally to the crowd, saying, “Let me formally greet you. I am G-Dragon”.
He talked about feeling a mix of emotions. “Today marks the 39th and final show, which is bittersweet,” he told the audience. The reunion was a highlight, showing the strong bond between the members after years of individual activities.
Official Announcement for BIGBANG’s 20th Anniversary and Coachella
Beyond the performance, G-Dragon used the concert to make important news about BIGBANG’s future. He confirmed that the group has plans for their 20th anniversary in 2026.
He explained the group’s upcoming activities in a simple way. “BIGBANG will start warming up from April. It’s like a workshop,” G-Dragon said. The most specific news was about the famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States. G-Dragon confirmed BIGBANG will perform there, joking with the Seoul audience, “It’s in the US, so don’t feel pressured, but if you happen to be studying nearby or traveling, how about it?”.
This announcement sets the stage for a major comeback for one of K-Pop’s most famous groups, aligning with a major milestone year.
Concert Highlights and Special Collaborations
The concert finale featured more than just BIGBANG members. G-Dragon also performed with a unique musical guest. He did a special remix of his classic song “Heartbreaker” with the national representative beatboxer Wing and the group Beatpella House. This collaboration showed G-Dragon’s interest in blending different styles of performance art.
G-Dragon also shared that the final Seoul concert was being filmed with special cameras. The footage is for a future theatrical release, so fans might see the concert in movie theaters later. He asked fans to enjoy the moment live. “It’s to capture me looking good, but also to capture you all,” he explained, encouraging people to put away their phones.

A Star-Studded Audience and Tour Challenges
The crowd watching the show was full of famous faces from the Korean entertainment industry. This has been common throughout G-Dragon’s return to concerts this year. Attendees included singer and actor Kwanghee from the group ZE:A, who was seen with actor Im Si Wan holding concert light sticks. Kwanghee also posted a backstage photo holding hands with G-Dragon, calling him a “real prince”. Comedian Park Myung Soo, who worked with G-Dragon on the TV show Infinite Challenge, also came to show his support.
The tour’s journey to this successful finale was not completely smooth. G-Dragon talked openly about a difficult start. The first concert of the tour in Goyang in March had problems with long delays and sound issues because of very bad weather. “My heart was heavy starting the world tour with a natural disaster,” G-Dragon confessed to the Seoul audience. He said he worked hard for the next eight months to fix the situation, using the phrase “put a roof over it”.
Addressing Performance Criticism Directly
During the earlier encore show on December 12, G-Dragon also chose to talk directly about recent criticism of his live singing. He has faced online comments after some performances this year where his voice was hard to hear or he relied on backing tracks.
At the concert, he asked the crowd, “Are there any grounds for controversy today?” He added, “If so, that’s a shame. Even if there are, please bear with me. I’m just doing what I do, and I’m just working hard at it”.
When fans shouted “Perfect” in support, he was humble in his reply. “Oh, it’s certainly not perfect. I also have many stages where I feel regret. It’s not about being perfect, but just working hard day by day,” he said. This was his first time speaking about these criticisms during a concert, showing a more personal side to the audience.
The Scale of the “รbermensch” World Tour
The numbers behind G-Dragon’s 2025 tour are impressive, especially for a solo artist. The three-day encore finale in Seoul alone drew 54,000 fans. This capped off a global journey that included:
- 39 total shows
- 17 major cities visited
- Concerts across Asia, the United States, and Europe
Before the final Seoul shows, G-Dragon also performed in Taipei, Taiwan. Those two concerts had about 80,000 attendees, setting a new record for the largest concert by a Korean solo artist in Taiwan’s history.
This world tour was in support of G-Dragon’s first full studio album in over ten years, titled Ubermensch, which was released in February 2025.
