The streaming service is going big on local stories this year, bringing a mix of final seasons, new thrillers, and real-life crime dramas to screens worldwide.
Netflix has revealed its complete lineup of Argentine productions coming through 2026. The company also opened new offices in Buenos Aires to support this push. Francisco Ramos, Vice President of Content for Latin America, explained why Argentina matters so much to the service right now.

The slate includes popular returning shows, brand new movies, and biopic series about famous Argentine figures. Some titles already dropped in early 2026, while others are scheduled for the coming months.
Returning Favorites and Final Seasons Hitting Netflix in 2026
Envidiosa (Season 4) will release its final episodes on April 29, 2026. This marks the end of the popular comedy series starring Griselda Siciliani. The show follows a woman in her 40s dealing with jealousy and love in Buenos Aires.
En el Barro (Season 3) is also coming back. The prison drama expands its universe with returning cast members Juana Molina, María Becerra, and Valentina Zenere joining Ana Garibaldi and Lorena Vega. Season 2 premiered on February 12, 2026, so fans can expect the third season later this year or in early 2027.
El Eternauta (Season 2) remains in advanced development. The sci-fi series starring Ricardo Darín follows a mysterious snowfall that wipes out most of the population. Production is currently focused on visual effects and technical work. The team is also discussing a possible third season.
New Movies and Series Arriving Throughout the Year
Lo dejamos acá brings together Ricardo Darín and Diego Peretti. The movie follows a pragmatic psychoanalyst who starts crossing lines with his patients until a writer with creative block shows up for help. Hernán Goldfrid directs this production from Kenya Films.
Moria is a fictional series about the life of Moria Casán, the legendary Argentine actress and TV personality. The show releases on August 14, 2026 to mark her upcoming 80th birthday. Cecilia Roth, Griselda Siciliani, and Sofía Gala Castiglione play the diva at different stages of her life.
Yiya Murano: Muerte a la hora del té is a documentary from Alejandro Hartmann, the director behind Carmel: ¿Quién mató a María Marta? The film explores the story of Yiya Murano, a woman known as Argentina’s first female serial killer. She was convicted of poisoning three friends with arsenic-laced tea in the 1970s.
Risa y la cabina del viento follows a 10-year-old girl who finds a phone booth that lets her talk to the dead. Elena Romero plays Risa, with Diego Peretti, Joaquín Furriel, and Argentine singer Cazzu in supporting roles. The movie will hit theaters first before landing on Netflix.
Felicidades is a comedy about a husband trying to fix his marriage with a special birthday party. Things go wrong when a medium shows up. Adrián Suar produces and stars alongside Griselda Siciliani. Álex de la Iglesia directs this adaptation of the hit stage play.
Real-Life Crime Stories and Literary Adaptations
Gordon tells the true story of Aníbal Gordon, a criminal who moved from robberies to political violence in 1970s Argentina. Rodrigo de la Serna plays the lead role. Pablo Trapero and Pablo Fendrik direct this thriller based on Marcelo Larraquy’s novel.
Mis muertos tristes is based on stories by award-winning author Mariana Enriquez. Mercedes Morán plays Ema, a 60-year-old doctor who can see and hear the dead. When her troubled niece arrives, the line between the living and the dead starts to fade. Pablo Larraín directs this miniseries.
Parque Lezama tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a Communist Party activist and a man who avoids getting involved in anything. Luis Brandoni and Eduardo Blanco star in this adaptation of the Argentine play based on Herb Gardner’s I‘m Not Rappaport. The movie hits select theaters in February 2026 before streaming on Netflix in March 2026.
El último gigante already premiered on April 1, 2026. The movie follows Boris, a tour guide at Iguazu Falls, who reunites with the father who left him 28 years ago. Oscar Martínez and Matías Mayer lead the cast.

Viewers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, and worldwide can watch these Argentine productions on Netflix as they release. Most titles will be available with subtitles and dubbing options. Release dates may vary slightly by region, but the streaming service typically launches these international titles globally on the same day.
El tiempo de las moscas starring Carla Peterson and Nancy Dupláa premiered on January 1, 2026. The miniseries follows two women who meet in prison and try to rebuild their lives after release.
Carísima marks Netflix’s first short-form series from Argentina. Each of the 10 episodes runs just 10 minutes. The show follows Caro Pardíaco, a post-pop icon and streamer, who faces a crisis days before her 30th birthday party.
The streaming service also announced a new political thriller from Santiago Mitre, who directed the Oscar-nominated Argentina, 1985. Filming started in March 2026. Verónica Llinás and Peter Lanzani star in this untitled project set for a 2027 release.
