The wait is almost over for fans of Pip Fitz-Amobi. Netflix and the BBC have released the official trailer for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2, and the new footage shows that Emma Myers’ character cannot stay away from trouble for long.
The trailer, which dropped on May 4, 2026, reveals that Pip is pulled into another cold case right when she thinks her life is returning to normal. After solving the disappearance of Andie Bell in Season 1, the young detective is ready to step back from investigating. But the sudden vanishing of a local teenager forces her to pick up her notebook and microphone once again.
The second season is scheduled to arrive on May 27, 2026 on Netflix for global audiences, excluding Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the six 45-minute episodes on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and BBC Three. Australian fans will find the show exclusively on Stan.
Trailer Shows a Race Against Time to Find Jamie Reynolds
The newly released trailer throws Pip directly into a high-stakes mystery. The story picks up with the aftermath of the Andie Bell case. Max Hastings, played by Henry Ashton, is about to go on trial. But two days before the court proceedings begin, a key witness disappears.

Jamie Reynolds, the brother of Pip‘s friend Connor (played by Jude Morgan-Collie), goes missing without a trace. The trailer shows Connor showing up at Pip‘s door, desperate for help. Pip immediately suspects the disappearance is linked to the upcoming trial. Jamie was supposed to give evidence, and now he is gone.
“Jamie’s giving evidence in Max’s trial, and then he goes missing two days before the trial starts. Well, this has to be connected somehow,” Pip says in the trailer while recording for her podcast.
The tension in the trailer rises quickly. Pip faces threats and warnings from someone who wants her to stop digging. One chilling scene shows a poster with the message: “Who will look for you when you disappear?” Pip also warns that police often stop searching for a body after 72 hours. The footage ends with a dramatic car chase, suggesting this season is more intense than the first.

New Mystery Adapts ‘Good Girl, Bad Blood’
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 is not inventing a new story for television. The season directly adapts the second book in Holly Jackson’s bestselling trilogy, titled Good Girl, Bad Blood.
The author herself is more involved this time. Jackson is writing on the show for the first time. “I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show!” Jackson said in a statement. She added that the team owes everything to the fans who supported the first season.
The core theme of the season stays true to the book: Pip wants to stop investigating, but the disappearance of someone close to her community drags her back in. Unlike the first season, which focused on a closed case from years ago, this story deals with a missing person who is in immediate danger.
Familiar Faces and New Cast Members Join Season 2
Emma Myers leads the cast again as the sharp and determined Pip Fitz-Amobi. Myers, known for her role as Enid Sinclair in Wednesday, is excited for audiences to see the new episodes. “I’m feeling very nostalgic,” Myers said in a social media video announcing the launch date. “This season has been really special to me and I’m so excited for everybody to see it.”
Zain Iqbal returns as Ravi Singh, Pip‘s boyfriend and partner in solving crimes. Their relationship grows stronger as they face the pressure of the new case. Asha Banks is also back as Cara Ward, Pip‘s loyal best friend.
Several new faces join the investigation. Misia Butler (Kaos) plays Stanley Forbes, a mysterious figure on the edge of the case. Eden H. Davies takes on the important role of Jamie Reynolds, the missing boy. Jack Rowan (Noughts + Crosses) joins as Charlie Green, Pip‘s new neighbor who gets pulled into the mystery.
