The UKMVA, established in 2008, celebrates creative and technically outstanding music videos across the globe. This recognition highlights Taehyung’s artistry, as “FRI(END)S” blends pop soul and R&B, expressing a deeper connection between friends through its clever wordplay.
In the music video, Taehyung portrays two contrasting sides of life—being single and in a relationship—showcasing his emotional depth. Filmed in the UK, the video was directed by British director Samuel Bradley. It quickly rose to the top, reaching #1 on YouTube’s Global Top Music Videos chart upon its release.
