The official release date for the highly anticipated fourth season of HBO’s finance drama Industry has been confirmed. The new chapter, which promises a globetrotting cat-and-mouse game, will premiere on Sunday, January 11, 2026, on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max. A new teaser trailer set to Nina Simone’s “Lilac Wine” offers a first look at the intense drama awaiting fans.

Season 4 Release and Schedule

HBO has set the return of Industry for its coveted Sunday night programming slot. The eight-episode season will debut at 9 p.m. ET/PT on January 11, 2026. New episodes will be released weekly. In the UK, the season will arrive on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in January 2026, with the specific date to be announced.

The new season finds main characters Harper and Yasmin at the top of their game but facing new challenges. The official logline reveals they are drawn into a “high stakes, globetrotting cat-and-mouse game when a splashy fintech darling bursts onto the London scene.”

A New Corporate World

The storyline for season 4 shifts beyond the familiar trading floor of Pierpoint. The drama now centers on a new, sleek financial technology company called Tender. The production design for Tender’s sets was inspired by conspiracy thrillers, intended to have an “edge of danger”. Show creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay describe the new season as being influenced by “investigative, procedural, conspiracy, and erotic thrillers.” They tease that the expanded scope explores the impacts of capitalism “beyond the investment floor,” while maintaining the show’s core focus on finance.

Returning and New Cast Members

The series sees the return of its core cast, including Myha’la as the ambitious Harper Stern and Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani. Kit Harington also returns as tech founder Sir Henry Muck, to whom Yasmin became engaged in the season 3 finale. Other returning actors include Ken Leung, Sagar Radia, and Miriam Petche.

Season 4 introduces a significant number of new characters played by well-known actors. Max Minghella joins the cast as Whitney Halberstram, the enigmatic CFO and founder of Tender. Minghella describes his character as a “tornado of cutthroat ambition” and notes that Whitney’s story is deeply intertwined with Kit Harington’s Henry Muck.

Other major new additions to the cast include:

  • Kiernan Shipka as Hayley Clay, a fearless executive assistant at Tender who “wears many masks”.
  • Charlie Heaton as Jim Dyker, a financially savvy journalist determined to reclaim his credibility.
  • Toheeb Jimoh as Kwabena Bannerman, a confident trader at a different firm.
  • Amy James-Kelly as Jennifer “Jenni” Bevan, a newly promoted government minister.
  • Kal Penn as Jay Jonah Atterburry, a co-founder at Tender.

What to Expect in the New Season

The dynamic between Harper and Yasmin remains central to the plot. Harper is pulled into the orbit of Max Minghella’s powerful executive, Whitney Halberstram. Meanwhile, Yasmin navigates her complex relationship with Sir Henry Muck. The tension between the two women is palpable in the new teaser, which features a confrontation where Yasmin asks Harper, “Will you look after me tonight?” to which Harper pointedly replies, “When the fโ€“k are you going to look after me?”

The new cast members have described the upcoming season with words like “wild,” “shocking,” “provocative,” “exhilarating,” and “intense.” Charlie Heaton, who was looking for a challenge after Stranger Things, noted that the creators “are always trying to see how far they can push the needle with the show, and I think this year is no exception.” Kiernan Shipka simply stated, “This season doesn’t hold back at all.”

The creators promise that the weekly release of the eight episodes “should make for the most compulsively watchable week-to-week viewing experience we’ve presented since we first aired.”

“I was trepidatious at first, given the density of the language and the character itself, which was intimidating on the page. Ultimately, I loved the challenge,” said Max Minghella on joining the cast.

“This season takes Industry in a bold new direction whilst maintaining all of the ingredients fans have come to love about the show,” Minghella added about the new season’s direction.
