Netflix has released the first full trailer for One Piece: Into the Grand Line, the second season of its hit live-action pirate adventure. The Straw Hat crew officially sets sail for the legendary and treacherous Grand Line when all episodes premiere on Monday, March 10, 2026. The show has already been renewed for a third season, and this new chapter promises bigger adventures, new islands, and a host of dangerous enemies.
Alongside the trailer, creator Eiichiro Oda shared a special letter. He promised that this season will shatter the conventions set in Season 1 with a “parade of Devil Fruit users,” a race of giants, and stunning visual effects. Netflix is celebrating the launch with a global tour of fan events in over a dozen cities worldwide.
Season 2 Trailer Breakdown and Story Details
The new trailer opens with the core crew—Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji—reflecting on their journey so far. “We put together an amazing crew, made it to the Grand Line, and now we’re one step closer to our dreams,” Luffy says. Their next destination is the Grand Line, a legendary and unpredictable stretch of ocean known as the “Pirate Graveyard”.
Showrunner Joe Tracz explains that the new season tests the dreams each crew member pledged to achieve. “Every place they stop in the Grand Line is going to test one of the Straw Hats in a unique way,” he said. The season will adapt several famous story arcs into its eight episodes, taking the crew to multiple bizarre and dangerous new locations.
- Loguetown: The port town where the era of pirates began.
- Reverse Mountain: A perilous summit where a river flows upward, serving as the gateway to the Grand Line.
- Whisky Peak: An island that appears friendly to pirates but holds dark secrets.
- Little Garden: A prehistoric island frozen in time.
- Drum Island: A wintery kingdom known for its exceptional doctors.
The official synopsis warns of “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet” as the crew searches for the world’s greatest treasure.
New Cast Members and Villains for Season 2
A major part of the new threats comes from the secret organization Baroque Works. As Usopp notes in the trailer, “These Baroque Works guys are different… They’re crazy powerful”. The season introduces a large roster of new characters, both allies and villains, played by a talented ensemble cast.
Key new cast members include:
- Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, a mysterious and powerful agent.
- Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday.
- David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, a villain who uses wax-based powers.
- Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5 and Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, a villainous duo.
- Mikaela Hoover as the voice of Tony Tony Chopper, the crew’s future doctor and a beloved fan-favorite character. Hoover describes Chopper as a “big softy” who tries to hide his emotions.
- Callum Kerr as the Marine Smoker, who relentlessly pursues pirates.
- Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk on Drum Island.
