The wait for the next episode of Nice to Not Meet You just got a little longer. Episode 11 of the popular Korean drama was originally scheduled to air on December 8, 2025. However, the show has announced a one-week break, pushing the new release date back to December 15, 2025.
The production team confirmed that the short break is intended to improve the overall quality of the series. This move follows Episode 8, which achieved a peak rating of 5.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area. Fans can now mark their calendars for the new release schedule: Episode 11 will air on Monday, December 15, with Episode 12 following on Tuesday, December 16. The show will then continue with its final episodes, concluding the season on December 29 and 30.
Why The Show Took A Break
The decision to pause the drama came directly from the show’s creators. Following the broadcast of Episode 10 on December 2, the production team announced a one-week hiatus. The stated reason was to enhance the production quality for the remainder of the season. During the week of December 8, the show’s regular time slot on tvN will be filled with a “tvN X TVING Short Drama Curation”.
This news clarifies earlier reports that had listed the original December 8 air date for Episode 11. The production team shared their vision for the upcoming episodes, hinting at a significant shift in the story. A statement from the team said, “From Episode 11 onward, Hyun Jun and Jung Shin begin resolving misunderstandings and move toward deeper mutual understanding. We hope viewers will look forward to this new phase of their relationship”.
Where And When To Watch Episode 11
For viewers in South Korea, Nice to Not Meet You airs on the cable channel tvN. New episodes premiere every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM Korean Standard Time (KST). For international audiences, the show is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Episodes are made available on Prime Video shortly after they finish airing on Korean television. Prime Video lists Episode 11 as “Coming Soon” and confirms it will be available starting Monday, December 15, 2025. The service offers the series with a wide range of subtitle languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, and many others, making it accessible to a global audience.
What Happened Before The Break: A Recap
Episode 10 left the main characters in a famously awkward situation. Lim Hyun-jun (played by Lee Jung-jae) had finally discovered that the anonymous person he had been chatting with on a secondhand app, known as “Soulful,” was actually Wi Jung-sin (played by Lim Ji-yeon). However, he was still unable to confess this truth to her directly.
In an attempt to orchestrate a meeting, their friends arranged for Hyun-jun and Jung-sin to “accidentally” run into each other at a movie theater. The plan backfired spectacularly when Jung-sin’s longtime crush, Jae-hyung (played by Kim Ji-hoon), arrived at the same theater and sat down with his mother right next to her. This left Hyun-jun stuck in his seat, unable to speak up. To add to his frustrations, Hyun-jun later returned home to find out that his own mother had been cast in the same drama project he is working on.
Meanwhile, the professional lives of the characters remain tangled. Jung-sin, an award-winning political journalist who was demoted to the entertainment beat, is investigating a corruption case. She recently learned that the agency managing Hyun-jun’s career is connected to the same case.
What To Expect In Episode 11
The preview for the upcoming episodes suggests the story is heading toward a major turning point. With the premiere of Hyun-jun’s new drama series approaching, both he and his writer, Park Byung-gi, are feeling nervous. They are worried that Jung-sin might recognize the writer at the event, which would expose the secret that Byung-gi was the one posing as Hyun-jun online.
The preview also hints at a bold move from Hyun-jun. During the premiere event, with Jung-sin in the audience, Hyun-jun is seen making a heart shape with his fingers and giving her a wink. This public gesture leaves Jung-sin completely shocked. After the event, she directly confronts him, asking if he likes her. This moment of boldness from Hyun-jun seems to finally break the cycle of misunderstandings and secret identities that has defined their relationship so far.
The production team’s statement confirms this shift, promising that Episodes 11 and 12 will focus on the main couple starting to resolve their complicated situation.
