The next chapter of Percy Jackson’s demigod journey is officially one step closer to arriving on screen. Production on Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 has wrapped in Vancouver, bringing the adaptation of Rick Riordan’s third book, The Titan’s Curse, into the final stages of post-production. With filming now complete, fans can expect the new season to arrive on Disney+ later in 2026, and the team behind the show is working hard to make sure the wait is shorter than the gap between the first two seasons.
The third season was first announced in March 2025, and cameras started rolling in August 2025. Now that filming has officially wrapped, the focus shifts to visual effects, editing, and final touches before the episodes drop on the streaming platform. Executive producer and showrunner Dan Shotz recently shared that the goal is to get Season 3 to viewers much sooner than the two-year break fans experienced between Seasons 1 and 2.
Walker Scobell Promises the Most Book-Accurate Season Yet
Leading man Walker Scobell, who plays Percy Jackson, has been open about his excitement for the upcoming season. In multiple interviews, he revealed that The Titan‘s Curse adaptation is shaping up to be the most faithful to the source material so far.
“Season 3 is like all I’m thinking about right now. And I love Season 2, but Season 3 just—like if Season 2 brings Season 1 to a different level, I mean, Season 3 just brings Season 2 to a completely different level,” Scobell told The Direct.
He also explained why the book works so well for television. “The book is just perfect for breaking up into eight episodes. It really works, and I think fans will love it. I think Season 3 is going to be the most accurate adaptation we’ve done so far.”
Scobell also teased that his character is more focused than ever this season. He described Percy as being “locked onto that specific goal,” with his motivation becoming deeply personal this time around because it involves Annabeth, who is presumed dead early in the story.
Percy Jackson Season 3 Cast: New Gods, Hunters, and Villains Join the Adventure
The cast for Season 3 has grown significantly, with several high-profile names joining the returning core trio of Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood). The new additions bring gods, Titans, and legendary hunters to life.
Dafne Keen (Logan, His Dark Materials, Deadpool & Wolverine) has been cast as Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon and the hunt. Her kidnapping sets the entire plot of Season 3 in motion. Alongside her, Saara Chaudry (The Mysterious Benedict Society) will play Zoë Nightshade, Artemis’ loyal lieutenant and leader of the Hunters of Artemis.
Two of the most anticipated characters in the Percy Jackson universe are finally making their debut. Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie have been cast as siblings Nico di Angelo and Bianca di Angelo, the mysterious children of Hades whose arrival changes everything for Percy and the world of demigods.
On the villain side, Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, The Lincoln Lawyer) will play the Titan Atlas, also known as the Bearer of Heaven. Atlas is the main antagonist of Season 3, freed from his punishment of holding up the sky and hungry for revenge against the gods. David Costabile (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Wire) joins as Dr. Thorn, a military academy headmaster with a secret identity that plays a major role in the story.
The divine ranks are also expanding with some very familiar faces. Ming-Na Wen (Mulan, The Mandalorian) will play Hera, the queen of Olympus and goddess of marriage and family. Jennifer Beals (The Book of Boba Fett) has been cast as Demeter, the goddess of agriculture and sister of Zeus. Hubert Smielecki, a newcomer, will portray Apollo, the dazzling god of the sun, music, and prophecy.
Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) is set to bring her comedic talent to the role of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Jesse L. Martin (The Flash, Law & Order) will play Frederick Chase, Annabeth’s mortal father and a brilliant military historian.
The Titan’s Curse Plot: What to Expect from Season 3
Season 3 will follow the events of The Titan’s Curse closely. The story begins when Annabeth goes missing during a rescue mission, and Percy discovers that the goddess Artemis has also been captured by the Titan Atlas. With two major figures in danger, Percy, Grover, Thalia Grace, and the Hunters of Artemis must embark on a dangerous quest to save them before a critical vote by the Olympian Council.
The season introduces the Hunters of Artemis, an immortal group of maidens who have sworn to follow the goddess. Their arrival brings new allies and new tensions, especially when it comes to working with male demigods like Percy.
The prophecy of the Titan’s curse hangs over everything, warning that not everyone will survive the coming battle. This season also sets up major events for the future, as Kronos continues to build his forces for the war against Olympus.
Percy Jackson Season 3 Release Date: When Is It Coming Out on Disney+?
Disney+ has not announced an exact release date yet, but all signs point to a premiere in late 2026. Both previous seasons launched in December, so a December 2026 debut is a strong possibility.
The good news is that the wait should feel shorter this time. Production moved quickly thanks to an early renewal, and the creative team is aiming for a much faster turnaround than the two-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2.
For global audiences, Percy Jackson Season 3 will be available on Disney+ in all regions where the streaming service operates, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, and across Europe and Asia. Specific episode release times usually follow the standard Disney+ rollout, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET in the US, and corresponding local time releases in other countries.

Returning Characters and Season 4 Hopes
Alongside the core trio, several familiar faces are coming back. Charlie Bushnell returns as Luke Castellan, the traitorous son of Hermes who now leads Kronos’ army. Tamara Smart is back as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, whose resurrection at the end of Season 2 plays a major role in Season 3. Daniel Diemer will reprise his role as Tyson the Cyclops, Percy’s half-brother, and Dior Goodjohn returns as Clarisse La Rue.
As for the future, rumors are already circulating that Disney+ has renewed the series for Season 4, which would adapt The Battle of the Labyrinth. While Disney has not officially confirmed this yet, the report suggests the show is expected to continue beyond the currently announced third season.
With filming wrapped and a 2026 release window locked in, Percy Jackson fans have plenty to look forward to. The Titan’s Curse is widely considered one of the most beloved books in the series, and with the cast and crew promising the most faithful adaptation yet, the next demigod quest cannot come soon enough.
