“Carolina has spent her entire life believing she is the ‘Sanchez family disgrace,’ constantly put down by her older sister Flora. When sent for a political marriage to Prince Edward, she expects to fail again. But her new family actually adores her, and she might not be as powerless as she thought.”

What Is The Oblivious Saint Can’t Contain Her Power About?

The light novel series, written by Almond with art by Yoshiro Ambe, started publishing under Earth Star Entertainment. The story mixes fantasy romance with comedy. Carolina believes she has no special abilities. Her sister Flora, the family’s pride, treats her terribly. But when Carolina moves to a new country for an arranged marriage, strange things start happening. Her hidden saint powers keep activating on their own. The joke is that Carolina remains completely unaware of her own strength, while everyone around her figures out the truth.

The anime adapts this premise into a TV format. The new key visual shows all the main characters together, hinting at the relationships and conflicts to come. The series has also gained attention for its cast, especially Rie Takahashi in the lead role. Takahashi’s experience with fantasy comedies makes her a good fit for Carolina.
