Pop singer Meghan Trainor has made a difficult choice to cancel her upcoming Get In Girl tour. The tour was scheduled to start on June 12, 2026 in Clarkston, Michigan. Just two months before the first show, Trainor announced that balancing her career and a new baby had become too much.
The 32-year-old singer and her husband Daryl Sabara welcomed their third child, a daughter named Mikey Moon Trainor, in January 2026 via surrogate. The couple also has two young sons. Trainor explained that being a mother of three while preparing for a big tour pushed her to her limit.
Here is what happened, the reasons behind the sudden cancellation, and how fans are reacting to the news.
Meghan Trainor’s Emotional Statement on Instagram
Trainor shared the news with her followers on her Instagram Story on April 16, 2026. She did not hide how hard this decision was for her. The singer admitted that she had to go through “a lot of reflection” and “tough conversations” before deciding to step back from the road.
“After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,” Trainor wrote.
She got honest with her fans about feeling stretched too thin. She explained that juggling the release of a new album, getting ready for a tour across the country, and taking care of a newborn daughter was simply more than she could handle right now.
Trainor emphasized that she needs to be present at home for her children and her husband. While she knows fans will be sad, she said this is the correct move for her family’s well-being at this moment.
Why Family Comes First for the ‘All About That Bass’ Singer
The decision comes less than three months after Mikey Moon joined the family. Adding a third child to the household has changed the daily routine significantly for Trainor and Sabara.
Trainor has always been open about her struggles with mental health and the pressures of fame. In interviews leading up to the cancellation, she spoke about being in therapy, taking antidepressants, and dealing with a recent ADHD diagnosis. She has realized that she cannot do everything at once.
Touring is physically demanding. It requires long nights, constant travel, and being away from home for weeks. For a new mother still adjusting to a family of five, the timing just did not work. Trainor made it clear that her kids need her at home, and she wants to be there for them without the stress of an upcoming tour looming over her.

What Was Planned for the ‘Get In Girl’ Tour?
The Get In Girl tour was supposed to be a big summer event. It was set to kick off on June 12 at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan. From there, Trainor was going to travel across North America.
The tour included major stops at big venues. She was scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Chase Center in San Francisco. The final show of the tour was planned for August 15 in Los Angeles.
Before the cancellation, Trainor had shared her excitement about the shows. She told PEOPLE magazine she was going to take dance lessons to get in shape. She described the concert experience as a “party for everyone” including kids, adults, and grandparents.
The New Album Is Still Coming Soon
Even though the tour is cancelled, the music is still on the way. Trainor confirmed that her seventh studio album, Toy With Me, will still be released as planned on April 24, 2026.
Trainor promised fans that this break from touring is only temporary. She is still very proud of the new record and wants everyone to hear it.
“I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always,” she said.
